Anything fun is illegal here.
Certain herbs.
Poker
Drinking under 21. (But no I do not think a 15 year old should be able too)
Basically anything that is a lot of fun or the government cannot get their big ugly hand into.
all sorts of fun things labeled illegal or immoral.
To be the home of the free and land of the brave we sure have a lot of things we can not do.
Other places we say are not "free" sure do not have this problem??
And yes I know not everyone will agree with me.

No you sir are wrong. America is a great place. The thing wrong with America is a big institution called, "The Federal Reserve."
End the Federal Reserve and our country will be restored to what once used to be. |

Disagree with the title- however OP does have valid points.
Land of the free indeed--- you can go to war and die for your country at 18 but cannot drink legally until you are 21
All forms of gambling should be legal as long as there are failsafes in place to ensure age restrictions are obeyed |

| Well I am sorry. I really do not feel very free. They tell us how to do everything. I think if we are free I should be able to do stuff that I wanted to do. It is not anyones choice but my own if I wanna not wear my seat belt, smoke a joint, drink a beer. Gamble all my dam money away. It is my damn business. |

Aside frm this being about the lamest, but not all together the most surprising rant I have heard from today's youth, I recommend you join the Libertarian party. I am a card carrying member.
Just because our fine legislature and socialist congress makes it illegal doesn't mean you have to obey laws you disagree with.
We have lot's of dumb laws that make no sense. The great thing about America is we can oppose those laws openly without the threat of being arrested or persecuted. That's real freedom.
Can't smoke a joint legally? BOOHOO! Milllions of Americans do anyway.
You can protest and join NORML. Try that just about anywhere else and you can be arrested for subversion.

what is it your talking about besides whats stated? see the problem with getting drunk and gambling away all your money is: you'll get in your car and tilt your azz down the road at a high rate of speed crash into someone and because your not wearing your seatbelt you get injured and of course your not insured so the hospital doctor and ambulance don't get a dime which raises the costs for others not to mention the poor bassard you hit has to file against his own insurance and his rates go up.
Of course we can have legal prostitution everywhere and whores on every corner and then you would most likeky die from diseases and cost the reast of us more money while your sick and the cost to burn you also. |
