These tournaments would be a lot better if they WERE NOT TURBO. Full Tilt should make more tournaments that are like this at the $6, $12 and $24 level. The double stack is definitely a nice feature.

Actually Full Tilt has way too many Turbo SNG MTTs.

I have filtered out the Turbos and I have less than half of the amount of SNG MTTs

What do others think?

I think you're wrong.
There aren't enough turbos.

The 90man double stacks wouldn't fill up if they were non turbo.

It just becomes a gamble later on in the tournament. The blinds start chipping away at everybody.

How so, start calling with A-8 when people are pushing with everything. Even with a chip lead it is a big gamble.

Selective aggression is key. No you don't want to call away half your chips with A8. But raising from position with A8 with no other limpers is a good way to pick up some blinds. Or maybe your BB holding A8, you have 1 limper and the SB calls, this also might be a good time to push.

As always its situational, but as Jeff said adjust your game accordingly.

Someone much better at poker once told me: if its good enough to call, it better be good enough to raise.

I for one wouldn't play these if they weren't turbo's - just dont have large chunks of time to play them..

Think if you made them non-turbo many, like myself wouldn't register for them.

I personally love the turbos ... and jeff is absolutely right, if they weren't turbos - they would never fill up.

I don't like turbos. Hardly ever play them.

Heh, if I was going to change one thing about them, I'd just leave out the KO part.

yeah those 5 dollar double stacks never fill up but i should start waiting in them. I agree with the OP. I play very tight/agressive so the double stack is great for me. I think they would be perfect if they had no KO and no Turbo as well but, it is true they wouldn't fill up as fast. It seems like I do better in the 10+1 double stack real big tourneys like 800+ then i do in the 12+1 90 man turbo. go figure.
