Just joined table folded every hand until now. Put villian on a a K with his flop pot bet. Question is my (poor) play, should i have raised the bet, folded or call as I did. Then on his turn bet I was trying to represent a flush, should I have just shoved or folded? Got myself in a pickle with KJ as usual, it is a killer hand for me always over value it and play it poorly.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (7 handed) - Converter Tool from

Hero (CO) ($5)
Button ($4.56)
SB ($5.62)
BB ($1.92)
UTG ($0.72)
MP1 ($0.78)
MP2 ($1)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, K
3 folds, Hero bets $0.15, 2 folds, BB calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.32) K, 9, 4 (2 players)
BB bets $0.32, Hero calls $0.32

Turn: ($0.96) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $0.45, Hero raises to $1, BB raises to $1.45 (All-In), Hero calls $0.45

River: ($3.86) 10 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $3.86 | Rake: $0.25

Results:
BB had K, Q (one pair, Kings).
Hero had J, K (one pair, Kings).
Outcome: BB won $3.61

I'm not folding this against a 40BB stack. I'm probably just shipping it on the flop instead of waiting for the turn. As played, I'd probably just make it $1.45 myself on the turn, but makes no difference.

first of all leave out results, see sticky.

do you know anything about the BB? if he's tight i think calling flop, and folding to the turn bet is fine. if he's pretty loose, i'm most likely either raising the flop and getting it in, or calling and getting it in on any turn. folding the flop with TPGK to a single bet would be extremely nitty. i would need a very, very good reason to do that.

on the turn, i don't really understand your reasoning. you're trying to represent a flush? are you saying you're putting him on a better hand and trying to make him fold it? i don't think he's likely to fold any better hands, so if i think he has me beat i just muck. if you think he's got a worse hand, then you're not really trying to represent a flush, you're raising for value. if i do continue on the turn, i'm shoving, just based on how little he has left behind.
