They've banned it in the US so that people gamble at casinos so the north american indians can get money. Simple Razz

This is so incredibly stupid since its the congressional republicans who are behind this one. This is one instance where stubborn moralsim gets in the way of pragmatism. Doyle Brunson contibuted heavily to republican causes prior to the moronic Internet Gaming Act. Now he isn't giving anything. I'd go all in with the belief that the majority of players big name and not, are far from being hard core liberals. Furthermore, is it just me but is poker more naturally suited to a republican state of mind geared to individual achievement and competition.

If poker was invented by a democrat. Tournament structure would go as the following. Everybody would play. Those who make the final table would chop and shake each others hands for a game well played. Then give back the winnings to everybody who entered so their self esstem wouldn't be adversely affected for loosing.

Republicans are all for giving money to the poor. Democrats prefer to give other people's money to the poor.

True we dont have to pay tax on poker earings, or any other form of gaming earnings, however, we have to pay tax on just about every other f*cuking thing.
