So im just trying to make sure i understand the correctly. If you finish in the top 1000 on a leader board. You are entered into a SNL Freeroll?

That's correct. There's a freeroll for each SnL. They will be played on the 2nd Saturday of the next month. They are qualifiers/satellites with the top 100 finishers moving on to the final SnL freeroll played the next day. That one pays cash prizes.

You are not entered into the tournaments but, rather, are qualified to register for them. They are listed now in the Lobby under Tournament Satellites. Look for the Restricted Freerolls on July 11. Click on those for which you qualified, and register for them.

Yes this is correct. I am registered into 2 of these sit and laern freerolls. If you come in the top 100 in these you get entered into a $5000 freeroll.
