What's your guys' take on pocket 2's?

Normally, I'll almost treat them as rags, I'll take them to the flop only if it doesn't cost too much, and quite often late in a tourney if the blinds are high I'll just fold them. Then, if at the flop, I've got no draw or set hopes, I'll fold to any bet.

This normally works for me, but twice today in the same game I did the after fold head smack when it turns out that I would've pulled a full house at the river (would've won) and another a straight at the river (would've won).

Each time I folded after the flop to a bet, even small ones cuz there was nothing but overcards on the board.

Just curious.

Call only the big blind (no raise!), and late. Hope to flop a set, and if the price is right, an open ender. Cash big, or fold and loose small.

Fold when early.

your chances of hitting a set on the turn or river are like 8%. you can't be mindlessly calling to the river every time you have a pocket pair just in hopes of hitting a set.

only open ender you can flop with 22 is 345, which is the 'idiot' end

I know, there's just nothing worse than seeing you folded the nuts, specially when your tournament life is in danger....

Course, I guess it's better than being a fish and flopping your chips away on crap hands with high hopes....

If it makes you feel better, simply do not look at the board or the table after folding. You can't let you folded cards get the best of you, because it will get to you psychologically.

Looks like they're good enough to put you in a possition to take down the WSOP, as are 3's and 4's just so long as you get it all in preflop and run better than Gold, Yang, and Moneymaker combined.
