I might've totally butchered this hand..I dunno. Judge for yourself

Play chips as you can see
We're at the late stages of the tourney (final 18 out of 279) so there's no more aggro donks. Actually everyone at this table plays fairly well for play chips. Except for the villain who according to my reads is a total calling station.
Did I play this scared or smart? I'm not too sure.
Checked on the turn because I was worried about the third king.
Got me thinking when he potted on the river.
Thoughts? |

invest some money 1st of all.
If they're tight as you say they are I'd say fold. The only hand you beat here is a bluff or an AJ QJ combo. Besides, you did not invest that much. and still have the table if not covered then almost covered. |

massive level here. rarely are play-chippers any good, and definitely not those who pot it on the river.
you played it alright though. pre is fine, i'd bet slightly more on the flop tho. i like turn check - we don't want to overvalue an overpair 3-way.
on the river i fold. we're only beating random bluffs and Jx. not much value in calling |

+1 or at least start playing freerolls the micro games aren't much better than the play chippies, which I'm assuming you're crushing. |

Well..I make "the money" in around 75-80% of the play chip tournaments I actually try in. I don't really know if you could consider that good or not.
I have about a fulltilt bankroll of exactly $3.13..all made from freerolls. However I've been on a dry streak as far as freerolls go. It's pretty hard for me to cash due to the fact that I sometimes intentionally make dumb decisions by using the mindset of "well it's a freeroll, who cares?" However I'm slowly but surely doing less of that.
I will continue to do freerolls and play chips until I have 10 dollars. Then I'll start participating in the 50 cent rebuy tournaments, and the occasional daily dollar. If my bankroll runs dry, I'll rinse and repeat. If my bankroll grows bigger, so will the buy-ins of the tournaments I play.
On Pokerstars it's easier though..a friend of mine sent 5 dollars to my account, and now I frequent the 25 cent 90 player sit n go's. After playing, I don't know..around 40-50 of them (rough estimate), I've broken even. Haven't made any profit, haven't lost anything either. Obviously not doing as good as I had hoped.
Overall I've made a decision long ago that I'm not going to deposit a single cent on online poker because
1) I'm very stingy with my money
2) I'm not 100% confident in my game yet
3) I prefer the challenge of starting up a healthy bankroll through freerolls, and doing tournaments from there.
Sorry..I know I gave a long response to a short post, but..now you know. |

Can you get transfers??? That requires a deposit history huh =[
I can tell by what you say, and the fact that you post HH and stuff in here for help, that you are sooooo much better then a standard play chip player. I would totally stake you for some micro SnG's.
I'm curious to what your playchip bankroll is though...I have 6k...lol |

Apparently on Pokerstars it doesn't.

Currently I'm up to nearly 4 million in play chips.

Should've...

Didn't. I ended up folding the river. After the hand was over, he said he had pocket 4's.

IIRC?
Yea I've seen those around, just never bothered registering. Guess I'm sort of afraid to because I think it's a waste, but then again I've always had a problem overestimating play chip players and underestimating myself. xD
I always have a problem remembering to get into freerolls in general. Most of them fill up so fast. The only freeroll I play on a normal basis is the USA freeroll. |

if i remember correctly.
I played one of them a few years ago won like $3, lost it and stopped playing until this year. At that time it payed 18ish spots and only had about 40 entrants i think. So cashing was pretty easy. |

I'd raise a bit more PF, to about 8000, and the flop bet needs to be either pot, or shove.
As played, I think the SB almost always has a King, so I'd fold the river. |
