I just find it so immature the way you guys act. There is no rule saying that I can't be active in the forums just to join this BAP system. If you don't trust me and don't want to invest, then don't. I am not forcing you to invest in this BAP but why bash at me and make other people not invest in me? You have NO proof whatsoever to prove that I am a scam, so DON'T assume that I am a scam just because i got to 200 posts that quick.

There is no explicit rule against it (which should probably be changed), but the whole reason that there's a minimum requirement of both having joined >6 months ago and having 200 posts is specifically so people can't just suddenly decide to spam the forums to run a bap. The BAPs in this section are intended for people who are already active on the forums, not randoms who want other people to pay for their buy-ins for one reason or another.

From clamper's sticky in this forum:

Continuous contribution does not mean spamming your way to 200 posts just to be able to run a BAP.

whether you plan on scamming or not isnt the point. You took the trouble to join the forum more than a year ago, and you never bothered to contribute one iota. I asked you where you had been hiding (in your well) and your response was that you only just found the BAP section and thats why you started posting, hence thats the only reason you are here.

Not great criteria, imo.

This will be my last argument for this thread. Mod please lock this thread if possible.

The reason why I want to start this BAP is because I feel like it can give me the motivation I need to do good in the tournaments since I am actually doing it for my investors. But i guess the only way to prove it is to do good in this BAP and prove that I can make my investors proud with the shares that they have bought. I will still do this BAP disregard the lack of investors and the lack of trust that I am getting in this thread. The whole point of my thread is to give investors the opportunity to get a good return on their money and to give me a little more motivation playing these tournaments. But I guess it has turned into a "bash-phinny" thread.

So here I will conclude by saying thanks to PhilBird1 and Rook1969 for their investments and trust and I will try my best to give you both the best return I can possibly get. I have also added a $2 guarantee on your shares IF i happen to make nothing out of these shares. Once again, thank you and sorry to the mods if I violated any rules and regulation.

phiNny,

I see that you have some nice stats so far, and I don't think you're looking to roll anyone here. If you don't mind, let me just calmly point out a couple of things to you here. Take it FWIW.

1. I looked through your posts briefly, and I didn't see any that involved any sort of strategy discussion. I certainly didn't see any where you posted a hand that you had played. Its possible that you have and I just missed them, but let's say that you havne't posted very many.
2. Whenever someone tries to meet the requirements in a quick manner, this obviously raises suspicions a little. I'm sure that you can understand this, I don't wish to go into it further.
3. Please, please, please don't argue with people who don't wish to invest in you. Its just not smart. I understand that tempers can flare when you feel attacked, but you're asking people to give you their money for you to play poker for them. Calling people immature is not going to make them say "you're right, here's some money."

So stick around, post some hands in the MTT section, and come on over there and argue with me, tracy, adam, BP, MPMTL, and everyone else that I'm missing. We always need more people over there. Honestly if you had 201 posts but half of them were in MTT strat or SNG strat (whichever you wanted to play), with your stats I would definitely invest in you. Stick around, and I'll probably invest in you in the future.

Best of luck,
Fran

+1 for sure

Phin. I was in almost this exct same spot. Several months ago I wanted to run a BAP so I tried getting my post count up. Then I decided to run a BAP. I didnt get a single investor as you would imagine. So I started actually using the forums to discuss poker. I learned alot from the other forumers and gained some respect. I posted some rails requests and railed some of the forumers.

Next time I ran a BAP I had no problems

I meant for my 'DO NO WANT' pic to say exactly what Fran wrote here... I'm unfortunately a little lazy on occasion and easily aggravated in the morning. Just stick around the forums and contribute something poker-related once in awhile and I'm sure you'll get more investors next time.

I want to point out something here. All the 'quick' posting to get count up and lack of input has allready been pointed out. But,the guy does have some decent stats, but,we dont know if this was one or two big scores or what.

Also,he was very fast to jump on the trcysanders bandwagon and withdraw his reserved shares in my BAP when it appeared TS was bashing me.This should tell you he spends no time at all in the forum. If he did he would realize that TS would bash me if i had taken down the WSOP and im usually the first to do the same to him.And anyone who gets defensive and confrontational when someone asks a question about his intentions does'nt warrant a whole lot of trust IMO,please see the debacle of a BAP thread going on with mikah now!

Thanks for the advise guys. I will follow francois8's advice and not argue with you, Misisipi-beck. But i do want to say that i did not invest in you for my own personal reason. Tracysanders' comments did not affect me in anyway or the other. Sorry if that offended you. I apologize.

EDIT....and fwiw...i hope you knock this BAP out of the park....i will be the first here to congradulate you. Laughing

Good news PhilBird1 and Rook1969!

We are not half way done and I have already guaranteed you both at least a 50% ROI on your shares and thats already calculated after SB and everything! So if i happen to lose ALL the other SnGs and tournaments, you will still be getting $7.43/share!

Good job so far on the win.

Your math isn't making any sense to me.

You only sold 13 shares, including the 10 you got, for a total bankroll of 65. So you have 22.50 left.

329.14 - 65 = 264.14 * .80 = 211.31 / 13 = 16.25 + $5 SB = 21.25 a share.

That's pretty cool.

Not bad at all for a first BAP

Hey all,

I am new to this BAP thing and am interested in starting a small one here.
I have a decent ROI% on my MTT tourneys as that is where i play my best poker. You can search me up and do some research. I think this BAP can bring alot of fun for me when I am playing and I am confident that I can make all you investors some profit.

OPR: http://officialpokerrankings.com/fulltiltpoker/phiNny/poker/results/FD34784137884381BBAEA508FCA56AA5.html?t=2

I will just start things off with small games since this is my first BAP.

Games:

4 x $6.50 (90 player KO) = $26

2 x $13 (90 player KO) = $26

? x $5.50 and $11 tournaments = $78

Total of $130

*Will post in rail thread for the tournaments that I will play*

Shares:

$5 each, 26 shares to start.

>$1000 in prize = 70/30+SB
<$1000 in prize = 80/20+SB

Hmm....I think that about covers it. Well here we go, happy investing!

phiNny - 10 shares
Philbird1 - 1 share
Rook1969 - 2 shares

It would seem that you sold only 3 shares + 10 for yourself = $65 max br. While your original plan obv was to sell $130, you began playing sooner and hence, you can only play 1/2 the originally planned tourneys as well. So far you have spent $42.50 of the $65, leaving $ 22.50 in the br.

If your playing post is correct, your winnings are $329.14, - $65 stakeback = 264.40 profit and each share is worth 80% = $ 211.52/13 = $ 16.27 after sb. At least I think so on the mathiness, definitely correct on the shares and starting br.

Obviously, its an important part of a BAP to get these things correct on your side Wink
