IMO getting you're opponents to call with worst is where most of the money is won in cash games. |

Do it again. And again. Keep doing it until you're comfortable. Then keep doing it until it doesn't feel like bluffing. It's a good tool to have in your arsenal, so might as well learn it now while you're playing for peanuts and the lessons are cheap.

Hi.
Different strategies work for different people at 2nl.
For instance, someone on my HEM plays amazingly loose 70/20. He wins about 10bb/100. He'll play nearly every hand, but not aggressively.
Then take me. I play about 12/7 at 2nl. (This is far better than the 8/6 I was at) I play amazingly aggressive when I am in a hand, but know when to let an opponent kill himself. I also win about 10bb/100.
The point is not to play a set style, but rather know when you should be in a hand and when you shouldn't, especially post-flop. And just in case you're curious, I doubled my BR playing micro-stakes in about 50 or so days, so it can easily be done. |

I play on stars, since that is where I got some money. I started with $20 and have only deposited once, I try to use good BR managemant and have about 11 times what I started with and will be moving to 5/10 soon.
I try to play pretty tight preflop and aggressive when I have a hand. Don't bluff much and make the other players make the decisions when you have a hand. Learn which players will fold and which will not while you are at a table. If someone who has shown they will fold isn't, slow down unless you have a monster, they are strong. Someone who you read as not folding, put them all in if you have a strong hand.
Sometimes you will lose, sometimes you will suck out, but overall you should be profitable at the micros as long as you are playing strong hands and arn't afraid to fold if a solid player is playing back at you. |
