Has anyone noticed that the amount of poker skill that someone has is inversely proportional to the number of starting hand nicknames they use?

I suppose that is right, but it is surprising how you brought up something that has so little to do with the topic in the thread

Man, I try so utterly hard to pass the first paragraph, but alas, I cannot.

TL;DR

Why is it that on this site the best hand gets sucked out more often than not?

It doesn't

In real play and on other sites hands that have a high percentage of winning.....win!

Sure.
Larkemi wrote:
Here on FTP the high percentage hands lose to moderate and less than moderate hands and to make this bitter pill worse, it’s usually on the flop!

Incorrect.

I know that I speak the truth because so many comments I see in games and tourneys back it up.

Yes, the heresay from other people is all the evidence you need. Rather then the statistics from hands you've actually played.
Larkemi wrote:
I play real tourneys all the time and have never seen flops like the Bull Crap flops you see here.

You need to pay more attention, then.
Larkemi wrote:
Once in a while you see AA or AK get cracked but you might as well have a pair of ducks or crabs on FTP.

Define "once in a while"
Larkemi wrote:
I have seen the fall of pocket Kings and Queens with a flop that provides them with a three of a kind but also gives some loser (who shouldn't even be in the hand) a flush and or straight draw.

Me too. What's your point?
Larkemi wrote:
If this was a once in a while thing I would understand but this will happen in every tourney and if you hang at any ring game.

Again, how often do you think this should happen?
Larkemi wrote:
I have withdrawn all my money from this site and will only play using points and play money when I play if I play here again.

Okay.

First of all your post is hilarious so funny and second of all everything you say is so true i live by your words
Larkemi wrote:
In my opinion, FTP wants good players to come and get robbed to keep the crap players spending their money in tourney after tourney. That’s why this good player will not spend anymore money here on this site.

Do you think you're one of the good players that is getting robbed?! Ahh, I think we've got to the bottom of the problem here. See, you actually suck at the game. You're one of the crap players. That's the real reason you lose money.

First of all i find your post very humor filled and i believe that all you said is true so i live by your words mighty man

This topic comes up time and time again.
No its not rigged.

If you looked at hand histories you'd see that statistically it'd all be pretty much in line with what is expected.
The reason it feels like you get more bad beats online rather than live games is because you play more hands are are more inclined to remember the bad beats - so it seems like you have been getting rolled all day.

I read with interest the condesending comments made by fletch_smf on 10/29. Imagine my surprise when I checked his FT stats to find he has played a total of 8 tournys with NO CASHES. Now there's someone who really knows FT inside and out. A true voice of authority. Thank you so much for your insight.[/i]

Yes, I'm a cash game player. Isn't that surprising.

Are you implying that only winning players should have an opinion on whether the site is rigged or not? Because there goes the whole rigged argument right there.

There were 3 people sitting at the table: one had ducks, one had crabs, one had bullets, and they all had chips in front of them....but not a single person was playing poker.

....I just feel bad for the person that got the crabs though.....we all know you will never get anywhere with crabs....hockey sticks maybe, bullets definately.

And duhh....bullets should destroy crabs and ducks any day...I mean come on, we're talking about bullets here. We all know scissors beat paper and bullets beat ducks....although for crabs they have something better these days....maybe a big net....or some new antibacterial shampoo.
