Let's see.
It's a rebuilding year.
We've been to Arizona and the Fiesta Bowl 5 of the last 7 years.
We'll be back in Arizona for the NCG next year.
The Rose Bowl will be Big 10-Pac 10 like it should.
We haven't been since 97, and all of Buckeye Nation is damned excited over it! |

First, how is it a rebuilding year? Isn't this Pryor's second year as a starter? Second, how many of those bowl games have you won? Third, you can't just nonchalantly say that you will be in the NCG next year. You just can't. |

You seem like a Texas fan. Remember VY in his sophomore year? And remember Beanie, Laurinaitis, Freeman, Robiskie, Hartline, Trapasso, Malcom Jenkins? They all left from last year's team into the draft. So normally it would be, except Pryor has essentially an all new lineup to work with.
Fiesta Bowls or Arizona Bowls? 3-2. Miami, Kansas St, Notre Dame. And we got **** robbed against Texas last year!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we will be. We only have Miami(FL) on the schedule, then 3 MAC games, then the Big Ten. |

I still remember Ohio State being projected to be pretty good this year. ESPN says their preseason ranking was 6. I wouldn't call that a rebuilding year. You are always going to lose players to the draft every year, the fact is that you were supposed to be a lot better this year than last. You've also lost your last 3 bowl appearances. And you didn't get robbed against Texas last year. You got outplayed by a better team. Truly great teams step it up and win when they need to. Finally, there is NO WAY you can say that any team will probably be in the NCG next year. It's just way to early to say that. Anything can happen. Miami could take you down, and there are good teams in the big 10 that could do the same. Besides, if your schedule is truly as weak as you say it is, you could go undefeated and still not make it. |

It's funny, because we're on our way to that ranking. #8 in the current AP and #10 in the coaches. And after the wins against Iowa, that team up north, and Oregon/Arizona/Stanford/USC, we'll be higher than our #6. And besides, we're Ohio State. We go undefeated, we automatically get placed in the NCG. And if I remember correctly, all the media and everyone expected us to get blownout last year by Texas. It wasn't that we were outplayed, as our D dominated poor ol' Colt. Rather, it was one play and one missed tackle. |

There you go assuming you will win games again. You have two losses, there are still 6 undefeated teams. You aren't getting to #6. And no, you don't automatically go to the NCG if you go undefeated if you have an easy schedule. What if it happens next year like it does this year w/ a Big 12 and an SEC team going undefeated? I can see you being #3 if that happened. Lastly, I never buy the argument that "oh, we were supposed to get blown out, so the fact that we only lost by a little means that we are a better team." You were expected to lose, and you did lose. And it wasn't just one play and one missed tackle. It was a whole game that put us into position to win when we needed to. We had you dominated through the first 3 quarters and then let you back in the game. |

Come on. Ohio State. In the shoe. In November. For the Big 10 championship. Against an Iowa team who looks terrible, especially without Stanzi. And then Michigan, who's been our **** for 7 of the last 8 years. And the only team from the Pac 10 that would have a chance at beating us in the Rose Bowl would be Oregon (USC did beat us, but we've progressed through the year while they have regressed).
Next year, college football as a whole will be down with the absence of Tebow, Colt, Keenum, Tony Pike, Bradford, Penn State, etc. It'll resemble something like 2007 when there was no dominant team, except next year will be Ohio St dominating.
17-7? I forget the score through the first 3 quarters, but it definitely was closer than you make it seem. You guys just couldn't score on us. Sure, yall had us bottled up on offense for the first 3 quarters, but it was the same for Colt and your offense. |

Just because you should beat a team doesn't mean you will though. You obviously must not watch much college football if you think the favorite always wins. And my final point on the UT OSU game is that sure, one play at the end gave us the win, but one play before that gave you the lead, and one play before that gave you more points. Looking at it that way is completely pointless, because there are only a handful of plays that actually score points in a game, but its the body of the game that gives you the win. |

| I just looked b/c I got curious, the score in the UT OSU game last year was 17-6 after 3 quarters, and I don't think you can say you shut down Colt McCoy, as he had over 400 yards passing. You also can't raise your "only one missed tackle" argument either, b/c even if the tackle had been made, there was still time on the clock to run atleast one, probably two more plays. |
