My ROI is terrible and I seem to always lose! today 14 times I got ACES preflop. Jammed a big bet after someone raised. Then they go all in and River a set EVERYSINGLE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone tell me why this happens? Aces should win 80% of the time not 1%!
Thanks,
Don

I am not into percents In poker but I seen people say the odds of this and that and I believe If I remember its a lot lower for AA to win in percentage wise. Also we all take bad beats.. if anything play them slow.. If you want fold them sense they only hurt you. People will say I am stupid for saying fold AA but You can always play AA and see the flop and etc.. but if you dont think your ahead fold at the end.

Work on building your stack so you can take the hit and still make a comeback. I am posting a hand that I lost on today. I even call the bad beat before it ever came. It wasn't bad luck I got out played I knew I was going to lose but called off the preflop allin to a bigger stack while I was still in a strong position to run deeper in the tourney. I learned my lesson let the others gamble on luck I will continue to chip away and play position until I have the bigger stack then even if I suffer the bad beat I might be able to play myself back into the tourney.

bean, if you're really having AA (and, presumably, other overpairs) cracked, the solution i.e. "how to save money", is easy: play less No Limit holdem, and more Limit holdem.

And stop accusing the "lucky" folks of BSing you, those who "claim" to have >20% win rate with AA... Of course that includes me, even at LIVE 3/6 LIMIT holdem tables where typically 7 see a flop and 5 see a turn -- I think my overpairs still hold up at least 20% of the time.

...But I'm abnormal, unlike OP.

I'm just responding to his 9 billion hand stats, this is nor our first rodeo.. His and FTP'stats are skewed, I love playing here.. He accused me a while ago of saying FTP is rigged which it is not and, well it's personal now.. Don't mean nothin.. I'm much to old to get really angry..

Well I usually lose when I have the best hand on the flop (like 9 9 9 vs J J ), and also lose on the river (when a J comes).
But I do sometimes win on the river so I guess it's just poker.

You should figure out how much you won on the river when you weren't supposed to, you'll feel better about losing on the river.

beanpot was leveling imo.

OP: You're losing all the time because you don't know how to remember the times you win.
