Just play a couple of 45mans. 2 hours is alot different to 7 hours imo. But don't play rushed. I for one, know how tough the shedule can be in engineering courses Smile.

that's my backup plan for if I'm taking way too long so if I can't get the MTTs done this weekend I'll do that. The thing about 45 mans is I won't be nearly as good in them and the $75 45-mans have nothing but regs. The deeper the stacks the better I'm off as far as MTTs go.

LBS is definitely right, don't try to rush it. I wasn't trying to rush anything, so sorry if it came off that way. I know what trying to play around a busy school schedule is like. Computer Science with a minor is math is no walk in the park either Smile

Darned fish jumped out of the net and bit me. After he check raised flop, I was 90% sure he had Ax spades. So I didn't shove flop to deny him odds. I was fully prepared to shove any non spade turn.

I am interested to hear what others think here.

I was absolutely cruising until this hand... guy chased his gutshot and hit it, giving my top two. I thought he had AK when he cc flop, got cute on turn... lol, AK woulda sucked out too. Two hands later I shoved from SB with unopened pot 89 into KK.. he even hit K on flop.

Around same time, I had AA> AK where I was 6 bet shoved into pf. So I'm 33/1209 in the 28k

I have 2 tokens left. I gotta quit losing with 2 pair... even this sh*t 2 pair. FWIW, I played every part of this hand poorly... except my limp pf which I feel good about, BB had 0% pfr so I was fairly sure I'd see flop with 7-1 odds. Not betting this flop by me was a gamboool, which failed miserably when it checked around.

I got burned by a free card that I gave. Put him on busted flush draw KQ iz the nutz yo type hand... Basically bad check on flop, hero call fail by me. I was sure that someone would catch a piece of this flop to bet it, I planned to C/R. On the end, I just couldn't put this guy on AK with his overlimp LP preflop, lack of raise on that turn with FD present. 609/1344

2nd hand, such a tease, then rivered.

I've been waiting to bust this dude:

Grabbed by
NL Holdem $60(BB) Full Tilt
Hero ($2,398)
BB ($2,465)
UTG ($3,335)
CO ($3,741)
BTN ($11,731)

Dealt to Hero 6Diamond 6Club

fold, CO calls $60, fold, Hero calls $30, BB checks

FLOP ($180) KSpade 3Spade 6Heart

Hero bets $140, BB folds, CO raises to $600, Hero raises to $1,690, CO raises to $3,681 (AI), Hero calls $648 (AI)

TURN ($4,856) KSpade 3Spade 6Heart 8Club

RIVER ($4,856) KSpade 3Spade 6Heart 8Club JClub

CO shows 6Spade 9Spade
(Pre 38%, Flop 28.6%, Turn 18.2%)

Hero shows 6Diamond 6Club
(Pre 62%, Flop 71.4%, Turn 81.8%)

Hero wins $4,856

fwiw the highest buy-in I've ever played is $55 and this $75 game is pretty similar - the play is pretty solid. I had a pretty good reg to my left to start and we got into some fun 3bet/4bet dynamics. I'm having a lot of fun playing right now.

villain is a 74/0 omega fish, hence my ridiculously light isolation - I just want to play pots IP with this guy and the players in the blinds aren't 3betting me light to stop me

RIVER ($3,590) QHeart 4Spade ASpade KSpade 9Heart

MP1 checks, Hero bets $1,000, MP1 calls $771 (AI)

MP1 shows AClub TSpade
(Pre 63%, Flop 52.0%, Turn 0.0%)

Hero wins $5,132

As for the $75 tourney, I've been much quieter after losing AQ<AK vs a fish, but I was fortunate enough to win a flip 99>AQ with 10bbs and then this hand also occurred:

I had already 3bet him in this exact spot and he 4bet really quickly and I thought it was a bluff but he sized it well so i couldn't call...I adjusted though:
