|
|
Something weird happened last night. In the 21:05 US freeroll tournament (#115854198), there was a table (table #389) at which only one human was playing. The other eight 'players' were clearly the computer; and boy did they suck.
I got moved to this table, when it was time for a balancing of tables, and I lost to this other guy/gal (guy from now on) pretty quick. But while he and I were going at it, sitting right next to each other, I noticed that the other 'players' each had a teeny-tiny stack of about the same number of chips, and they would all immediately fold on just about every single hand. I mean at the first instant that it was possible to fold after the dealing of the hole cards, a wave of folding ensued in a matter of milliseconds; and it did this every time for fifty hands, maybe more, till that table disappeared in another balancing.
So, as me and the other guy were playing against each other, I asked him, "Is this a dummy table?" I got no response, but after I lost my chips to him, I said, "Just raise every time." So he did, and the result was an unhindered taking of the blinds for fifty or so hands. Just over and over and over again. The only human at the table would show his hole cards now and then, cards of no value at all.
Pretty funny.
Anyway, so I went checking around some of the other tables, and sure enough, there were dummy players at those tables too, but none were quite so obvious as table 389. |

Those were players that were sitting out. Dummies true enough but I bet some of them lasted longer than you did.
Those auto folding bots are tough to beat! You also can be just like them. Just click on the "sit out next hand" button or just close the client after registering for a game.
GL on the felts. Take advantage of those sitters and snag their blinds every chance you get. And never fold to a sitter. |

Well, hm. What's funny is, a 'dummy' would call rarely; then instantly fold again on the next raise and following hands. One dummy actually won a hand, but only one.
I don't know. Just weird is all. I thought it was kinda funny, but I guess not...
Please forgive me. |

OP, no need to ask for forgiveness, is OK.
Those Auto Folding Bots are an insidious thorn to online pokering and need to be exposed as often as possible! You have done a great service to us all and I for one thank you sir.
Besides, we have to be nice to posters in this section. Please forgive me if you think my "I bet they lasted longer than you" offended you in any way. One strategy some players do, (especially on the play chip tables and in SnG's) is to sit out and wait for the other players to knock each other out and then they can just slide ITM.
Punish those fools whenever you can. Don't give those **** any free rides. Some people swear by this method. I think it is the duty of all real poker players to show these sitters the error of their ways.
GL on the felts sir.
Peace |
