good result but looking at this hand I should have raised more due to possition and the min. raise before me...

u played it fine dw jae.

if u like you could have made it 350 pre - but thats just plucking at hairs.

i don't bet as much OTF tho - make it like 750 - there really aren't too many draws out there that make up his range pre-flop.

other than that wp!

hope this BAP goes well for you!

I was looking thru this again and my raise amount OTF was because there were 3 others still invovled in the pot... is the 750 still the correct thing to do or does this leave a possibility of someone willing to chase?? I basically wanted people off this hand once I got 3 calls with my 3X bet... Didn't like that there were 4 of us getting a look at the flop... we all know what happens to AA with more people involved.

Please advise.

The thing thats key is how non-drawy the board is... sure there are 2 people in the pot but its pretty unlikely anyone is drawing to something.. no flush draws, and a weird straight draw. Sure 78 is possible, but pretty unlikely. I probably bet around 850, and shove the last 2400 on pretty much any turn.

+1. we don't want to overbet the pot here to chase out draws, simply because there aren't any. like TT says, there is possibly 78 - but it's unlikely - thus on that board there are NO draws that make up his preflop calling range. bet flop ~750-800 and jam turn. ez game

Game 3: Embarrassed to even say I played this game... Played 1 hand poorly... that put my down early... got frustrated with 4-5 people calling 3/4x raises... and did something stupid like pushed all in with J/9 suited because I was frustrated that no one ever f'ing folded... needless to say I think I went up against A/K... Bottom line... played like an @ss...

Game 4: I managed to take 3rd... redeemed my play from game 3...
I made the mistake of trying to out last another player for 2nd that I basically blinded out... 1st had a HUGE chip lead while 2nd and 3rd had almost exact chip stacks... we were both waiting for the other to bust... I figured 2nd was going to be best case because of the leaders stack and was hoping to milk a little extra $$... Next time I play hands before letting the blindes put me all in...

I took KyFried's advice about pasting hand #'s and I'm having trouble finding my damn HH by the #.... I'll keep looking so I can post them

I'm tired from staying up until 1am watching MattE... taking down 1.8k ... so even tho I'm happy that I made a final table I'm going to shut it down for the night because I'm mentally tired and don't feel I can focus...

So what I'm going to do is chill out at the 10cent forum tourny... and if I manage to cash I'm going to put it towards our BAP pool money... so wish me luck.... Smile I'm 11/73 as I finish this up.

Like I said I will continue to find some of the hands that I wanted to post.

I'll update the 1st page shortly

Was talking with MattE. last night about what to do when I come to a table like I did in game 3. In short what was happening at this table was that 50% of the players wanted to see the flop... Everyone was willing to call it down and the majority of the table was willing to call a raise to see the flop... So when I would raise with something like A/K or A/Qs I was getting 3 or 4 people to call... and when I didn't catch the flop it's safe to assume 1 of the others did...

So my plan next time is:

1. If I'm the first to act I will raise but I'm dropping my raise from 3-4x down to 2.5x that way I still show some strength but at the same time it won't be as hard to get out of the hand if I have to.

2. If there is action before me then I'm following suite and limping in with the rest to see if I get a limp special.. (obviously if its a hand worth playing).

Of all table playing styles this is the one I hate the most. (have to see the flop).. its almost like a home game with your friends who don't know anyting about poker) I guess some would say they love this style but I don't think my game is advanced enough at this point to rip these people apart. I hope with the help from everyone I will be able to at some point so with that said... anyone else have advice for this style of play... anyone have issue with how I plan on playing this style next time? The more input the better...

I hope to run a game or two tonight so I'll keep you all updated.

I had 2 other hands that I wanted to post but didn't copy the entire hand so it's useless... I'm also pissed and don't have it in me right now to go find them so I will post the hand that I f'ing busted out with...

When I raised I assumed the short stack was going to call... I planned on calling obviously... but when the BB called I felt I could push him off with a shove...

Thoughts? Is my play bad here? Help plz.

I'm kind of pissed that he called my shove with A/Q after I already raised... UGH and he f'ing catches the river... still burning my ***...

Bad play or bad luck???

Right or wrong when I'm UTG 1 or 2 even Mid with 4 4 I'm probably folding unless I have enough chips then maybe limp/fold, too many behind you and a decent raise from them means your most likely behind if not beat. But thats just me.

Normally I don't touch 44 myself and esp. not in this possition but the table was folding to pre-flop raises (was kind of trying to buy the blinds) and I wasn't worried about the short stack pushing...

Looking back I probably should have folded to the BB call... Actually now that I'm no longer pissed this was probably not a good spot to try to double up... I'll chalk it up as bad play on my part. Just sucks when you manage to hang on until the river.

HH for game 6:

This was my first hand that I played... as always half the table "has" to see the f'ing flop. I always get nervous with AA when there are a bunch of players seeing the flop.

Did I over react on the flop with my raise? Pushing on the turn correct?
Please advise
