LOL @ set over set being unusual in any Omaha game.

Set vs set on the flop, not unusual, but very common online. However, you didn't look at it closely enough- I wasn't just complaining about the kings vs nines. I even predicted in the comments how I was beat, and I could do that because I see hands just like this every 10-15 minutes online. I play this game live, too, a lot, and you don't see hands like this but maybe once a year, even if you played as many hands.

People need to understand what they are up against- the deals are designed to make for big, big pots. Just keep the pots smaller if you can, unless you have the absolute highest possible hand, because if there is only one possible hand to beat you, that hand will be in play online more often than not.

You knew you were beat and you called 2 more streets. Do not blame the site for that. Fold and make a thread saying what a great read you made.

Tell me how often these big hands happen, and how often you think they should.

Fletch,

By the time I realized what it was (quad sixes or kings full), the pot was already really large, and I had only one call left to make. I didn't see it until the river six- I was more worried about the straights on the turn and called to see if I could hit the boat. Now, I am always alert for the set vs set on the flop, but there weren't big raises until the turn came-the straights I was worried about, but I had outs. I called after that hoping the board would pair, which it did, but then it was only one more call to me by the time I realized the six did me no good.

Fletch,

How often do you think a hand of omaha should have two boats, quads, and two straights? In live omaha hi/lo, I have seen two boats vs quads three times in 20 years.

What I should have done, and I regret not doing so is posting the hand just prior this one. It was just as ridiculous, a point I made in the comments, if you read them.

I don't know, but I'm sure we can find it out. My point is if you don't know how often it should happen, then you can't complain that it happens too often. Find out how often it should happen, and collect your hand histories to see how often it does on Full Tilt.

You will appreciate that I don't trust your memory to tell me how often something has happened to you in 20 years. What is important is to measure it against how often something should happen statistically.

So, post it now. It of course doesn't help what ever argument you're making, because looking at a single hand (or 2 or 5 or 20) is not evidence of anything. You need a large sample.

You can't have been looking hard, unless you were playing live all this time and played as many hands in 20 years as i have in my whole time playing hi lo.

>Freeroll

In live real money play, you dont get a massive multiway pot.

Obviously in Omaha, massive multi-way pots are gonna have a load of wacky hands involved.

It's a 6 way pot preflop in OP's hand history... I don't see 'too many' 6-way pots in cash games or real money tournaments.
