I know JQ suited is not a great hand, but i had folded for 2 rounds of hands before this and needed to take a risk. I dont regret the push on the flop, although I feel like most of you guys will disagree. Average stack was 65k.

After making your pre-flop raise you pretty much have to get it in on that flop if you are first to act.

Either shove or raise to like 5300 pf. As played, shove 100% of the time on this flop. I'm OK with such a gamble as opening with this hand, necessary to survive. Once your raise is > 20-25% of your stack, just shove, makes future decisions easier.
FWIW, the guy with TT made a terrible flat of your pf raise imo, he should have 3-bet you like 100% of the time there given the relative stacks. |

| ive read a lot of poker books, most of them talk about the 3-10-30 rule. this means to raise 3 times bb u need at least 10bb, to reraise a raise u need at least 30 bb, i was right on the cutoff of this rule and my goal was more about the blinds than doubling my stack so i decided to just raise. it really just depends on your style of tournament play, it was not an awful play in my eyes. |

in MTTs i try to go by M standards.
since there are a ton of antes there now (prob 2.4k?) that adds a significant amnt of cash to the pot, and id want to be shoving wit more than 10BBs because of it
at this level i try to go with 3xBB from LAST LEVEL. if im raising at all btw. this will try to keep me from not being pot committed, while still completing the job |

| Ya the blinds were around there, in the right state of mind i fold that preflop early in position, but i was on a very dry streak of cards and needed to take risks. To add to that, it was my first time playing the 750k, i usually see a first place prize of 1500 in my 11 buck tourny. i won a sattelite to the 750k and make it to under 200 and look at a 136k first place prize, haha it really messed with my head. |

| M~4.......shove or fold pre homie. I don't really see any other way to play the hand, or any way to argue this fact. |

Even the more reason to just shove it. You haven't played a hand in a while, a random shove by you in early position will hardly look weak. You increase your stack by 25% just by stealing blinds here.......I say you almost have to push with this hand, you're BB in 2 hands and you'll be crippled soon..... |
