Briefly my story. Two years ago I started with 100$. A couple of months ago I reached 650$. In two months I'm back to 250$. If you think it's variance I tell you that it's not. Do you call variance when you put the money in as a BIG favourite (from 80 to 99%) and lose? I've lost twice with top set against a lower set that made quads. Twice. I've lost dozens of times with a set against runner runner straight or flush. Come on, I've QQ, the flop comes Q73 and somebody calls my all-in with 89 just to see a 6 and a 5 on the turn and the river. Do you call this variance? I don't. Do you call this rigged? I don't know.

But I know one thing. Now almost everybody plays decent poker. Nobody put his stack in the pot with top pair. With the rake so high it's very difficult to be a constant winner. If you play short or middle stack, you are too easy to read and can't beat the rake. If you play deep stack, the variance becomes so high that you should have 500$ just to play 1-2 cents. And if you play deep stack at low stakes, your preflop hand selection should be ultratight...even AK is to weak in early position against four or five callers preflop. Is this poker? Not for me.

I don't like to continue just in the hope of a hot streak. I'm done with poker online. Good luck to you all.

Actually, that's exactly what it is. Rolling Eyes @ people who think they should never lose an 80% hand.

if you need $500 to play 2NL there is something seriously bad leaks in your game.
but refusing to admit there might be something you might need to fix in your own game will make you loose money forever.
put your ego in a drawer someplace for a minute and look in the mirror.
have a nice day too Smile

I know I have to lose some 80% hands. I know I shouldn't lose TWENTY 80% hands in a row. I know I shouln't lose two or three 99% hands in a row.

I know there are certainly leaks in my game...but...going from 100$ to 650$ shows that perhaps I'm not a moron. I meant that, if it's "normal" to lose 20 all-in in a row when you are 80% favourite, then you need 500$ to play 2NL because 20 buy-in times 4$ per buy-in equals 80$.

Oh ho ho. You've been hit by a 1-outer twice in 2 years. That's completely out of the ordinary.

Doesn't matter how many you play "in a row" you still have a 20% chance each time of losing these hands no matter the result previous

There's a problem right there.
A fix?
Don't play short or middle stacked.

dude... everyone haas patches where they run badly... and thats all it is, running bad.
Im pretty sure everyone at some point has asked themselves the rigged question also.
IMO i think you need to just take the fact that you get it in as such a fav and try to continue to do that.
Alot of ppl who make these posts forget to mention the way they steamed and tilted more after these hands too.
As the saying goes let the chips fall where they may. thats all yo can really do.

Either drop down and keep grinding or leave...
