I hate 2nl. I'm sure a lot of you kept in progress of my "challenge" thing in the poker stories. Therefore, you know that I do not want to play 2nl again. My idea was to run a cash game BAP.
Since August, I have ran 5.5bb/100 at 2nl. Not impressive, but I just recently hit a downswing so that number is about 4bb lower than it was with 20,000 hands.
I also ran only .5bb/100 at 5nl through 15,000 hands. However, during October (when I finally figured the game out) I ran 9.5bb/100, albiet through 1600 hands.
My idea is to run a $200 BAP for cash games. 5nl until $270, and then 10nl. I would be able to put forth between 10,000-20,000 hands a month. It would run until January 1st. I will put forth my enitre BR towards it. Shares are $5, so that they are affordable. Split is 75/25 +SB.
ANYONE WITH QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, CONCERNS, OR ADJUSTMENTS FEEL FREE TO PM ME. I will also give out my AIM/Facebook to any investors upon their request. Like I said, my whole completely crippled BR is going to this.
For specifics, I am going to provide a list of table amounts I will play.
2 tables- During history class
4 tables- MAX for 6max, studying, warm-up
8 tables- Only Full Ring. I only play 8 tables sometimes because I stay focused easier and rarely seem to lose money with 8 tables. Only when full committed to playing.
Drop-down level from 10nl is the original $200. All hands will be tracked through HEM, and I will provide weekly graphs and big hands. I will also describe my thought process behind a hand upon request.
SHIP!!!!!!
BTW, my avatar is a lizard and the city will show up as either G or Galloway

It's good to know that there is some interest. Like I said, this is going to be a long-term BAP. I do think that I can run 7-8bb/100 through 20,000 hands at 5nl. That would be $70 and would be enough to advance to 10nl. If I played about 30,000 hands at 10nl and averaged 5-7bb/100, that would be anywhere between $150-$210. Barring some kind of horrible thing happening to my laptop (it's only crashed once in 1 1/2 years) or some tragedy (remember, tragedy has hit me twice the last 3 months), it would take at most 4 months.
At a 75/25+SB structure (I like math to be easier than my stat class), it would very easily be possible to triple your money per share. I only start at 5nl because I have experience at 5nl, but very limited experience at 10nl and no experience at 25nl. Also, it is very plausible that the more hands I log at 10nl, the better I will get and the higher the bb/100 will be.
I know I said I wanted to start this closer to Thanksgiving. However, I'm thinking that due to the length of it that it doesn't really matter when I start. So I'm going to start having people reserve shares to get a feel if this will sell out. |

I've been playing 10nl for a while now an I can assure you Sir, it's a bloody madhouse. There is no logic, no math and no reasoning expressed at any 10nl table.
Watching you beat your head against a brick wall may be amusing, therefore I'm interested. |

If you want me to, I can shorten the time length by a bit, but the longer played, the more money that will be made. I could also pull out your 5 shares at any time upon your request. |

Ohs, if you'd like my suggestion, run it through end of year, 7 weeks is enough time. Then do another one if it goes well, letting your original investors have first shot at shares in said 2nd BAP.
I'm in for 5 shares.

Ok. If I do run it 7 weeks, I would have to start immediately. But yes, this is definitely feasible to do. I'll just approve of it from the investors first before everything is set in stone. |
