| (2) People who shove on the flop in a 3-way...with one of the three being all in...when they have absolutely nothing. So much better to just check it down...especially on the bubble...there's no advantage to betting unless you have a hand..and alot of equity in two people trying to KO the bubble versus a one-on-one fight. Got into it with one idiot today on that...who was of the "i'll play my cards my own way" mentality. "REALLY" important to note who these people are because they are basically trying to steal a pot that can't be stolen because they are definitely seeing a showdown. |
Shoving the flop can be a very good play in many circumstances. |

| I'm just curious brad, what kind of roll would you say you need for these? I've read somewhere that 100 BIs would be considered a modest roll and that 200 is recommended to guarantee that you can take the swings. I like these too, but I know I'm not rolled for them at the moment. I've cashed in most of the ones I played though. I'm kind of curious why FT doesn't run lower buy in STs. |

| deadmeat, I agree that 100BIs is a good roll to have for these. I will admit I am playing them out of my roll right now. I am keeping the BI under 3% of my roll for now which I know is not the best for these but its working so far. |

I would recommend 150-200 BB's as they're re really swingy.
I actaully built a roll playing these and the strategy is to play tight ABC push/fold poker at early levels (7-9 players) - and then loosen up fast as the bubble approached and beyond.
You can often fold your way into the last 5 and then have enough chips to still have fold equity.
Getting you money in first is absolutely key here - especially in later stages.
You HAVE to multi-table these (I would recommend at least 4 but try to get up to 9 - 12 of you can)
They can be fun and profitable but can also be tilt inducing so beware. |

I have recently started playing the $3.50+$0.30 9-man Super Turbos as they are quick and fun. I feel that there is also a possibility for them to be profitable if played right. Do any of you play these and if so what are your thoughts on them?
I feel that they are basically a crap shoot or lottery for most players who play them. A lot of AI's and multi-way pots. I do see a fair amount of people try to limp in to see the flop though. I play with an all in or fold mentality and only play monster hands or suited connectors for the most part. This seems to work fairly well as the other players knock each other out if I can double up or triple up early.
Anyway, as I said I feel that these can be profitable if played right so I wanted to get your opinion on a strategy for them. Obviously you can also get a huge amount of volume in as they only run about 20 minutes.
