I think u should incorperate strategy, lessons for micro and low stakes games (MTT, SNG, and cash games). Even though the pros lessons help players to play higher stakes. There not much help playin the players at the lower stakes. These players tend to call more often on draws regardless of the pot odds and play more hands than in higher limits. I've lost alot of money playin low stakes trying to stick to what the academy teaches us. Let me give an example. Online tells by Taylor Caby he explains how to read players by there bet sizes. Most of what he says helps but for the most part it doesnt stand to be true nore helpful to these stakes. I know im rambling on, but i think this is a great idea for low limit players.

Somehow after completing a challenge I've lost ALL of my credits AND I've lost all of my tasks, even some that I haven't completed fully, what is doing on? I really dont want to start over.

I suggest the Academy don't reset our credits.

I suggest that there is a place where we can see which challenges we have completed and how many times we had done it. And bonus credits for kiwi and I.

Just want to give guys a thumbs up!!! My game has improved ten fold since I started on FTP Acadamy one month ago. My bad beats are down and my ROI is up. I understand you cannot win all the time, but you can watch your play and reduce your loses and increase your winnings. Today along I have sent three people to the Acadamy!

Maybe, somedayI'll be a big boy and do a video to teach others too! Thanks Again!

i definetly want to see more player sessions! these are absolute GOLD IMO and i watched all of them in 2 days.

watching the best players in the world play cash games and sit and goes online as they talk out the hands and read the other players... is absolutely invaluable.

Ivey, Lederer, Gordon, Juanda, Hansen, Matusow all need at least one session up there.

Shocked this is BEYOND ridiculous!!! this will be the end of my Full Tilt career even they don't manage to rectify this in some way!! I understand these are just freerolls, but the software not working properly, tournament date changing, last minute scrambles and patches, completly absent support and, secret swapping of rules is something I wouldn't tolerate from anyone. Full Tilt Academy was a GREAT idea and I really liked it, it kept me playing here through all the recent chaos, but now they've managed to kill THAT TOO!!

Well since THIS is the weekend I made sure to clear of work and social obligations to play in the most recent round of Sit-N-Learns, I figured I would make some attempt to fully express why I am so outraged by the recent going ons on the part of Full Tilt.

A) Announce for more than a month in several dozen places (including EACH and EVERY Sit-N-Learn & Leaderboard) that an event with a prospective player base of 10 to 20 thousand people is going to take place on one date (8/15 & 8/16), and without notice or notification run it a full week prior to schedule.
B) Recurring inability for what should be simple and important aspects of the software to work properly. There was no single instance (this month or in ANY month previous) where I was able to do the most basic and important function, REGISTER, without problem. EACH and EVERY time required an email to support to manually register me for atleast one of the SnL Tournaments.
C) Given points A&B, you still mange to leave the respective MTTs on the board but unregisterable (regardless of eventual qualification status) until fewer than 18 hours before the week early MTT starts, leaving everyone to wonder WHICH dozen pieces of conflicting information were correct and whether we needed to seek out help (yet again) from support, or if the MTTs were simply put on the board early and would soon be moved to their proper and advertised date which made much more sense.
D) A new set of rules implemented secretly and incompletely at the last possible minute that completely changed the way this and all future SnL MTTs would be run and bar all the people that had been partaking in the Full Tilt Academy since the begining, without notice explaination or any clarification what so ever, forcing people to fumble around and try and figure things out on thier own in the dark.
E) The COMPLETE and TOTAL absence of ANY support during this ENTIRE process. Despite numerous polite and pointed e-mail (with a growing sense of urgency) to all branches of Full Tilt support attempting to make some sense out of the conflicts and chaos they had created, neither I nor anyone I know of (including nearly 100 people I've spoken to across multiple forums) have received even a single reply of ANY kind from Full Tilt even to this date.

I wouldnt accept these kind of systemic, deliberate, and mounting failures from ANY company or institution, let alone one billing itself as the biggest (and "best") poker site in the world that is supposed to be responsible for the competent handling of millions of dollars of people's money.

----

I liked Full Tilt and was one of the main driving forces in getting our local poker organization to attempt to try and make the move from real tables to online play, and to choose Full Tilt as our venue or it's competitors.
Thankfully people were slow to convert because within a week or so of our decision one of FT's updates created "dancing tables" where any time you were moved tables in an MTT a new table (in a new window) would pop up at a random location on your desktop leaving the old one running behind. This made it difficult to run even 2 table at the same time, or to try and use your computer for anything else while playing poker. FT eventually corrected this problem (months later); but is still unable to make a single smooth table transition without needing multiple windows that leaving windows and other artifacts behind, something that EVERY other poker site I am aware of has been able to do from its inception, and something Full Tilt seemed oddly PROUD of given their recent comments in the thread discussing their new features.
Dancing tables gone, we attempted to get the online conversion moving again. Then came the chaos and confusion that was Full Tilt's "grand" 5 year anniversary celebration, makeover, and software "update". I wont attempt to rehash the problems (both cosmetic and actual) that came along with this forced, hasty, over complicated, and largely unnecessary overhaul; that effected the look, feel, function, and stability of many of the core aspects of the way the software and site runs. Being a programer myself I was willing to give them a little time to button things down, but needless to say this left an incredibly bad taste in the mouths of the people we were trying to get to move to Full Tilt, and stopped ANY efforts attempting to do so for a large time to come.

----

During all this, the one thing that kept me personally playing on and enjoying Full Tilt to any real degree was the recent addition of the Full Tilt Academy. I thought it was a great addition to the site, offered a great learning opportunity and powerful tool to FT members, as well as capturing a portion of the growing niche of poker training sites. My prior FTA SnL experiences (I'll leave comments on the rest of the academy to another time as this is already way too long as is) consisted of first only taking the very small number of SnLs whose challenges and game play I was very familiar with and making a couple of leaderboards. As my experience grew I took more challenges and SnLs the next month and the month after, making leader boards with each try. This past month I decided to see what all was out there including the SnLs I hadn't ever had reason to try before.
I watched each video and then took the corresponding challenge. I managed to qualify for most of them, including some I had no real right to for instance PLO. I registered for all the SnL Freerolls I qualified for knowing from the previous month that winning more than one of the satellite MTTs didn't get you anything extra, but wanting to play cards (odd this being a poker site) and make sure I hopefully made it to the next day's main event. I was unable to register for all of the MTTs using FT's software (which had been the case every single time previously as well), so I sent another email to Academy Support asking them to please register me in the rest. I never heard back from FT until well after that months SnLs had come and gone, but I was registers in the rest of the MTTs (some of I had played multiple times previously, some of which were completely new to me). No word from any person or aspect of Full Tilt saying I wasn't eligible to play in any of the ones I had previously played in, nor anything suggesting that perhaps I didn't want to play in all of the SnLs I had qualified for because they were about to make changes to the rule structure which would bar me from playing in any of these SnLs ever again .. for the rest of my life.

----

I don't want to get into the details of the myriad of easy ways they could have revised the FTA SnL structure to more effectively to what it appears they are attempting (top 100 or 250 qualify instead of 1,000; players can only register for 3 SnL events max per month; a points system over multiple SnLs that qualifies players for a single freeroll; Players must wait 1 month before being able to play in any SnL event they have just played in; etc.. etc.. ) I would have at the VERY least wiped the slate clean before initiating such a harsh policy without any advanced warning. All I know is the changes THEY implemented managed to alienate almost the entire FTA base that had initially made it grow by barring them from playing in the SnLs that had qualified for ever again, confuse and frustrate anyone who actually tried to play in them (I know atleast a few people that managed to play SnLs that had played in previously despite the "new rules", and make a complete mockery of the system they themselves created considering that simply registering in one of the SnL "satellites" guaranteed you entry into the next day's main event since the awarded 100 seats to the often 50 or less players in each one.
We ALL get the once a month or so promotional spam e-mail from FT telling us what a great site they are. How hard would it have been to have someone somewhere send out a blanket email to all the FTA members apprising of the rules changes (either before the event or atleast as some sort of explanation for those out there still confused). They could have at the VERY LEAST dropped a link in one of their promotional blanket mails to cover themselves. But instead, they decided to secretly swap the rules, last minute, midstream, leave many many people hanging in the wind, and still have not to this date given any explanation or clarification (or even a response) that I am aware of.

Again (and lastly) I say, I know these are only freerolls, but if they cant manage to run THEM correctly then there is NO way I am ever going to put another dollar into FT nor advocate that anyone else do!

I'm having the same set of issues as JRH140, two posts up, it reads the like the same bad story, A B C D E included. Since I'm only in the 2nd month here, I thought my first months experience was just my fumbling around in the dark due to first time issues. But with this month's FTPA bombshells dropped on me, it doesn't bode well for my sticking around.

The FTPA site desperately needs better server support for updating challenges.

Its 6:22pm (local) right now and my FTPA screen hasn't been updated since 12:58pm (server time)

I know I completed a challenge since then...and I absolutely refuse to play anymore until its updated and I can start a new one.

Since your site refuses to grant me rakeback even though I've played for over a year...its one thing I use to offset the cost to me in rake fees.

I dunno if the site is 'deliberately' being slow in order to get people to play more without benefit or what...but geez....for a site that plays millions of hands per hour...you'd think it'd be pretty easy for FTPA challenges to be updated on a much faster basis. I've already waited 'alot' more then the two hours it says for cash games to be updated.

Hello Tilters,

We want to continue to improve the Academy, and we definitely value your feedback. Therefore, I am going to offer some goodies to the players who have the best feedback of each month. The goodies will vary from FTP points, tokens, to tournament dollars, and I will also throw in something special from time to time.

All feedback will be easier to read in this thread, but I will also be checking the newly created threads. Thanks for your help!!!!
