What does everyone think of the latest batch of Academy Pro Sessions?
What about the sessions do you think can be improved?
Which sessions are your favorites, and why?
We value your feedback! Thanks! |

I love Gus Hansen's new session. It's so great to hear his thinking process as he plays, and I've found it quite beneficial to watch a player who has such a radically different playing style from my own.
My only suggestion for improving the sessions is to add more of them I would love to see some sessions from Phil Ivey, Erick Lindgren, Mike Matusow, Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer and John Juanda (in no particular order.) I would also love to see more sessions by the pros who have already done them.
My two favorite sessions are the ones by Ben Roberts. I love his personal philosophy about poker, and he comes across as very warm and likeable. His enthusiasm about poker makes the videos a delight to watch, not to mention that they are full of excellent tips and advice. I'm also particularly fond of the sessions with Patrik Antonius. He's so calm and easy to listen to, yet manages to convey an amazing amount of valuable information.
There aren't really any of the sessions that I don't like. Even the ones that feature games I don't generally play contain concepts I find useful. My least favorite games are Stud and Stud 8, but Paul Sexton's 3 sessions were so good, I found myself wanting to give these games another try. My thanks to all the pros who have taken the time to do sessions for us to watch, they are truly wonderful. |

| You guys should replace all of the pro sessions with stuff by Hansen. I would love to see people emulate his style. |

I`d like to see some new sessions at the low stakes NLHE, btw, it will be good if the pros show us how to win a session, not to lose it, like it often happens in academy sessions |

Took the words right out of my mouth. I still get a lot from watching their sessions, but it does seem that the majority of sessions which you show end up as losing sessions. |

Absolutely, I'm not questioning their insight or methods or how valuable the session should be to a watcher... but it would be great to see those methods turn a profit.
Hansen was really different since he got completely felted in his session... but it would have been great for him to show us the possibilities of buying back in and turning the session into a profit from a substantial loss while playing against the same people. |

| I thought of something I would really like to see in the Sessions: I would love to see a 2 or 3 part session that shows one of our pros playing an entire 9-player Sit N Go tournament. I can't believe I didn't think to mention it in my earlier post, but I think this is something that a lot of players would find useful. |

I think it might be interesting to see more pro HU play like Ferguson's $25k match with Brandon Adams, but to record both sides of the battle. We'd be able to see what their thought processes are when they're making moves on each other, and how they respond to them.
Especially if the two pros had very different styles. |
