wanna bump this up for those of you who are still following...
Feel like I'm running pretty consistant... feel like I'm getting some confidence... when I lose a hand or two I don't panic and stick to the game plan...
Def. need to find out how many hands I'm folding that maybe I should be playing... At this level it isn't too bad because I don't think many people pick up the fact that my range might be too tight... When I played the Team Thingy tonight I could tell 1 person was picking up on it or just knew because of this thread lol... he was steeling my bb often until I pushed back a couple of times... don't like having to do that tho when I'm not sure what hands are ok to push back with once your deeper into the game... Need to know when to open up my range and what that range should be... will post some hands tomorrow that might help...
No one from the Team Thingy... read this post anymore ... LOL unfair advantage. LOL j/k... I need your input. Ok off to bed... thanks for those of you who are still paying attention to this drawn out process...
I hope to have this done tomorrow so you shouldn't see this thread much longer.

I'm going to post a few HH that I played... these are hands I would normally fold but decided to play them... As usual I'm not sure how to play them so I think in this hand my min. raise was weak... I guess it the mentality that I don't want to lose much on a weaker hand than I normally play... I feel like these hands you need to hit the flop with???
Again this idea of opening up at this point is a little different so any advice would be good... should I not have even bothered with this hand??? thanks...

Should I have bet more after the flop? I wanted to show weakness in hopes that he would come over me... didn' happen on the flop but he did push a little hard on the turn. How should this have been played? Am I asking for trouble slow playing this?

This hand is right after the hand above with the same person.. basically tried milking this hand and show weakness with my weak flop bet... I think he probably thinks I'm doing the same thing to him as last hand and doesn't think I have anything?? Again am I messing around with the slow play on the flop???

Ok final one for now... this is def. a hand I wouldn't normally play... should I not be playing this hand? Just trying to figure what hands I should and shouldn't be playing... table is pretty tight (and not very good) but here is the HH I'd really like some advice on this hand...

hand 1 - open fold. as played fold.
hand 2 - pre is good. bet that flop harder imo. 200-220. shove over the turn bet (don't min-raise)
hand 3 - raise more pre. make it 200. don't check the flop please. just c-bet and keep betting until the money goes in.
hand 4 - i don't mind the open, but i open less to about 250. insta-fold to the shove |

| Nice work jae. Getting the volume up goes a long way to being a better player as long as you are analyzing you play and learning from it, as you have been. |

Hand 1- If you are going to open this I think you should 3x it. The min raise won't get many folds during low blinds. I am often going to open fold this, but might sometimes open it from the CO. So I don't think there is anything wrong with playing this hand. Just the min raise.
Hand 2- I would bet more otf.
Hand 3- I usually open a little more with limpers in the hand. I normally bet out otf. You have a good hand but it is far from being a monster. The exception would be if you know your opponent is especially aggro and is going to bet hard at any flop. Here we know this is probably not the case as you were the pre flop aggressor.
Hand 4- I think is fine as long as you folded. After his shove you were getting pretty good odds but if you lost you would be one of the shorter stacks but if you fold you still have 20bb.
Overall, nice job on your challenge. Congrats on your success.
Nice thought on the token idea, unnecessary of course, but very nice nonetheless. Cheers |
