Jeff Shulman to be coached by Phil Hellmuth, good for Jeff. Im pretty sure this will certainly help improve his game. A lot of ppl hate Hellmuth but to win 11 final tables, all holdem events, im sure he has some sort of edge.
anyway, i LOL pretty hard at the end of the article according to poker-king
"Hellmuth coaching Shulman means that we can be guaranteed of a few things come November:
1. Plenty of "checking in the dark" by Shulman at the final table.
2. Thousands of cutaways to Phil Hellmuth in the crowd during the final table broadcast.
3. The possibility of Hellmuth-like insta all-ins. " |

recent interview I found excerpted on PokerKing blog, said Shulman had 4 options, one was auction for charity, another was 1st prize in a freeroll to all those that were denied Main Event Day 1d, and another was to give to Stephen Colbert (cuz I'm sure Colbert could think of something funny/newsworthy to do with it, presumably)
Ah, here's the source:
http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/7213-jeff-shulman-explains-controversial-wsop-comments
| Quote: |
"Look, I love poker and entered with the hopes of winning," Shulman stated. "But, more importantly, I support making the industry stronger and better for the players, and to do this, there needs to be some major changes to the way the World Series is run at the highest level.
"Hopefully, by doing something like this, people will start talking about those changes.
"I am going to stand by my commitment, but instead of pointlessly throwing it in the trash, I have come up with a few ideas. Feel free to shoot me any other ideas. I've got a few months to decide."
Jeff Shulman's alternative bracelet ideas:
1. Auction off the bracelet and give the money to charity
2. Hold a tournament for all players shut out of the main event and award the winner the bracelet
3. Give the bracelet away in a SpadeClub.com tournament
4. Give the bracelet to Stephen Colbert*

*funny, no explanation just "give it to Colbert" |

Joe Cada will win it.
But Shulman should give the bracelet to Colbert. |

If he wins he should use the bracelet as a "taint swab" right in front of the tourney director and hand it back
Not that I have a problem with the wsop, but if he feels so strongly about it he should take advantage of his shot show how much he disagrees with WsOP management. |
