| Can you do any challenges in play money or freerolls? I assume not because the point of the challenges is to get more rake, but wasn't sure. |

Well... I can't say I really agree with that. The point isn't to increase their rake. It's to increase the amount and abilities of their player base, therefore increasing their rake. You can't really achieve that and have play money games and free rolls count. However, private games with a buy-in do count! And make sure you keep track while you're playing them and notify FTP support if they don't register for some reason.
I would think the $5k free roll they offer you... and the fact that they allow games without a rake such as the Daily Dollar to count would get people to realize that FTP has other motives for the FTP Academy than just increasing their rake. |

Well I have trouble believing businesses do anything for any reason other than profit. What about tournaments with FTP buyins? I played the nightly forum gathering, does that count?
EDIT: The 5k freeroll counts? You just have to do the SNLs to qualify for that right? |

No... i don't believe the 5k freeroll will get you any points for completing challenges. And it has to have a real money buy-in. So yeah, if you got into the tournament through some other way including FTPs or a satellite, you could still get credit for FTPA Challenges.
The Nightly Forum Gathering probably wouldn't count unless they're doing just NL hold'em or PL Omaha tournaments... as of right now that's the only two variants which can count for a FTPA Challenge task. |

Sorry for reviving a somewhat older posting (i know some forums people get rather annoyed by this, although I've never seen why it's a problem if its on the first page still) but I can confirm that the freerolls DO count. HOWEVER you have to make sure the challenge you are doing is a MTT (I got my first acad credits earlier today with the Guide to MTTs challenge playing the $150 freeroll. So no, a cash buyin is not required if there is a freeroll alternative. Just to clarify however, the play-money games DO NOT count.
Also if it says "cash game" it has to be a ring game. http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/no-cash-challenges-t94468.html That thread has a post which lists a few MTT/SG challenges which (presumably) can be done via the freeroll tournaments.
So in short, if its under the "real money" tab, it qualifies as long as the game types match up (cash = ring, MTT = tourney) |

Are the forum 1cent and 25 cent private tourneys included in some of these challenges??
Seems as though it would knock out the "Play 5 MTT of 27 or more players" as well as the "Cash 3 times in MTT 27 or more players" in Medium Stack Play |
