We have some Forum Representation late in a 24+2. Myself and GTKID are in the mix with 12 left of a $40,000 guarenteed satellite. If either or both of us make the final table, we'd love some support.

Appearantly they finished 5th and 6th. Good show guys, but better luck next time.

I had about 30% of the chips in play going to the final table, and I was in great position to make the top 3. I was playing tight, trying to stay about where I was at which was enough chips to have the average stack when it got to 4 handed. I was raising a lot with my good hands, not wanting action because I simply didn't need action. More chips at a risk of being outdrawn did me no good. With GTKID out, I put in a large raise with TT. I got a caller who had a lot of chips who had limped in and the flop came 7 5 4 which was beautiful for my tens. He checked and I overbet the pot; a large portion of my stack. He quickly called. I planned on moving all-in no matter what the next card was asmy opponent had more than half of his money in the pot already. The next card was an 8, he checked again, and I thought... would he really play a draw for that much money? I went all-in, and he quickly called and flipped over A6. From there, I was in a bit of trouble, I was now the short stack at the table. I was playing aggressively now, knowing a lot of players would be trying to move up into the top 3 and it was working. I put in a raise for 1/3rd of my stack with the QT. A player who had slightly less than me thought for a long time and then moved all-in. If I folded I'd be down to less than 8 BB, but if I called and won I'd be in third place with 4 remaining. I took a chance and called, and luckily he had 77. Unluckily, I got no help and was gone in 5th.

Yup, I watched the final table, and was pained to see the tens get drawn out on Sad. It's ok - it'll come back to help you one day, grip. It's poker karma! Laughing
