Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 20/40 Blinds (9 handed) - Converter Tool from

saw flop | saw showdown

MP1 (t2880)
MP2 (t2690)
Hero (MP3) (t5705)
CO (t6025)
Button (t2660)
SB (t5520)
BB (t2810)
UTG (t7095)
UTG+1 (t8190)

Hero's M: 95.08

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A, K
2 folds, MP1 calls t40, 1 fold, Hero bets t180, 1 fold, Button calls t180, SB calls t160, BB calls t140, MP1 calls t140

Flop: (t900) 4, A, 6 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets t600, Button raises to t2480 (All-In), SB raises to t5340 (All-In), 2 folds, Hero...?

I've only been here for a couple orbits... BTN has been solid and not calling with suited connectors from what I could tell. But SB has been a little donkish with plays, but I haven't seen his cards, so I can't say. This tournament is a $5.50 $2,000 guarantee cash out tournament...thought I would try one out atleast...and I'll be honest... pretty darn easy. most $5 tournies are I guess. Anyways, the play has been light and with the draws, I feel like I should be going with this. Oh, and MP1 was a pretty big tard but that's not relevant.

I think I'm going with this - too. At this limit - those other players could be making those moves with JJ, QQ, A-Q, A-J - maybe a flush draw... I guess one of them could've flopped a set... in which case, oh well. if one of them is really tarded, maybe A-4 or A-6 which would be annoying but at this level, not shocking.

i'd be happy going with it. i'd probably end up seeing a FD and something like A6, but i'm still going with it here. alot of the time you will see hands like A8-AQ which you crush

im folding. theres plenty better spots. all you have is TPTK, if you have the best hand here youre gonna have to fade mad outs.

and sets or 2p, flush straight draws are all in villains ranges. SB has an especially wide range esp if hes donkish

I agree with JD that there are better spots, however I don't think I can really fold this in a $5 tourney, also I don't know the play style of these cashouts, but I assume that; at first at least, people are looking to chip up early for a chance at the early profit.

I think I would definately play this the same way I would in a rebuy- snapcall it/ register for next one if I bust.

But as I said JD is right there will be better spots, so if you feel you can PWN the table at your leisure- no reason to stay involved here.

This seems like a fairly standard fold imo ... like JD said, all you have is TPTK and you're probably either already beat or "have to fade mad outs".

Folding seems pretty bad to me tbh. After we bet 600, given the limit and the odds we get to make the call I snap here.

Folding seems bad to me. But now that I look back on the hand, I really agree with JD. Not to mention my M is pretty darn good too. I hate folding this but I think we could find some better spots.

The bold I think is the reason for the fold

I don't really use the strategy of 'looking for better spots' as you could just get coolered the next hand and be out anyway. In MTT's I'm usually just trying to get my chips in when it's a +EV situation. We're now getting over 1.5-1 odds to make the call. I personally think this is a must call, and if we're behind then so be it, just register for another tournament. I think for those odds though, we are ahead enough at this level to make it a +EV situation. Just my 2c.
