Hi there,
I was wondering why HA seems to be everything but popular.
I signed up for a 2$ S&G an hour ago and am still the only person
I haven't played it before, but I do like mixed games.
can u please shed some light as to why ppl wouldn't sign up for this sit & go.
feedback is highly appreciated |

HA =
H =Pot Limit Holdem
A = Pot Limit Omaha Hi
I like it every once in a while. I will play one of the 2 $5 HA tourneys, but they only get maybe 40 to 50 people in it. |

| I think it would be alooot more popular if they made the holdem NL i know it doesnt seem like much but alot of people just hate the concept of plh. i personally dont care because i rarely overbet but ive heard alot of complaints about it. |

| People just hate the concept of playing hold em and not being able to shove anytime they want. TV has made the all-in look like the quintessential play to make, so not being able to anytime defeats the game's purpose to some people. Personally, I don't overbet much either unless I'm shoving a stack like 1.5x the pot. I play occasionally as well, though mostly cash games(not because of the slow fill-up, but because I'm a better cash game player.) |

| I like this combo and won a $5.50 MTT a couple of weeks ago. I'm a tighter player, especially in PLO so playing this PL without antes benefits my style a little more. I don't play many of them because they are usually only offered later in the evening. I also don't like SNG's very much. |

| I don't play real money at present, still working at getting off $0 lol. However, I do love all mixed games and hold'em/omaha hi are my faves. so Ha is something I would certainly play from time to time. |

Agreed, which I suspect is the main reason why the new "7-game mix" is HEROS + NLHE + PLO (instead of PLHE + PLO) ... pot limit holdem is a very different game than NL, just as pot limit omahahi is VERY different than NO LIMIT Omahahi (which exists in a lot of live Dealer's Choice games, yikes...) |

| HA is quite unique in tournament play because most of the tournaments with the exception of FTOPS really don't have more than 100 players. What I've always noticed is that in the first hours at least 60 percent of the players get eliminated in the first hour. A lot of this is because there's a lot of really bad omaha players who don't have much experience and get easily felted when they're holding over pairs. I know a lot of people like to dog the PL game because you can't raise all in every time but the middle late and late stages are a lot more fun because you're playing post-flop in 80% of the hands instead of 80% of the action taking place before the flop. Without antes players are less inclined to steal and re-steal. I love HA, but most of the tournaments have rather small prizes compared to NLHE. |
