Ok, I have accumulated 3,997 academy points. During that time, I did not have rakeback. I understand using FTP/ AP effects rakeback if you use them. So, I am 3 points shy of earning enough for a hat. However, just this morning I got an email from rakebackpros and was approved for rakeback. If I purchase the hat, will it effect my rakeback? Or just the three points I earn till I can get the hat?

I dont think academy points affect rakeback at all.
FTPs do when you use them not when you earn them.

Perhaps I misunderstood NoTilt, I thought AP counted too. Perhaps if I were to get 5,000 AP and convert them to FTP, then it would effect rakeback depending on how I spent them.

well some people there : http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/51/affiliates-rakeback/ftp-academy-credits-590502/ answered that if you use Academy points to buy FTP, spendng them will induce a reduced rakeback. Also if you buy bonus, hitting the bonus will affect rakeback.

But if you buy tokens or things from the academy boutique, it won't.
