|
|
Bankroll management has always been one of the biggest leaks in my game. I'd win and move up a level or 3 when I didn't have nearly enough to ride out a bad streak and then wind up going broke. A couple of weeks ago I watched Chris's lesson on bankroll management and have decided to follow his advise. So far so good. I'm playing much lower limit then in the past but I'm winning fairly consistantly and I'm able to better focus on my play instead of the money.
Anyway here's my question:
Chris mentioned that he was able to build his bankroll up to 28K but then he said this allowed him to play 50/25 tables (I'm assuming NL). Now if he followed his own advise the most he could bye into on these tables was for $1,400 - 28 BBs. This seems like a reall small bye-in for these tables.
Does anyone know if this is what he was his actually bye-in on these tables? |

| Yes, Jesus was buying in short for only 20 BB's. I personally like to buy in for 100 BB's, but Jesus was short stacking so he could play higher stakes. That increases the variance quite a bit. He ended up losing a lot to go back under $10K. |

| I am playing about 50-100 BB's in my challenge. Honestly though,if BR management is not hard to keep up,it just takes discipline and patience. |

Following Chris Ferguson lesson is very hard - I always buy-in for 20 BB and leave the table when the blinds reach me and I have 40 BB or more (my BR is very small) - that should be OK, right?
However..
I am not Chris Ferguson The BR lesson is great but a ton of experience is needed to actually get to 0-10kUS$ like Jesus did |

I would say it's ok,just not optimal, you leave yourself open to having to shove to the first raise with just 20BB's. i prefer to play 50-100 big blinds. i hope this helps and good luck |
