| i would like to hear more on post flop play. i hear things like if you can out play them post flop then just call. if not reraise especially if your OOP. so i would like some tips on post flop play and would especially like to hear tips on playing OOP. because i feel i lose value OOP on hands that are way ahead of my opponants range when i raise and they fold essentially turning my hand into a bluff. |

a more constructive note, i actually enjoy the pro's pod cast and id like to see one a day from your full tilt pro's, hey one pro must have played one good hand at sum point in their daily grind out. Just saying how they approached the hand and how it worked out.they should earn their sponsership sum how |

ROI = (Net Profit / Cost) = (Prize - Cost) / Cost = (Prize / Cost) - 1 = (Prize / Cost) - 100%
Win $10 in a $5.50 tourney, your ROI is:
(4.5 / 5.5) = (10 - 5.5) / 5.5 = (10/5.5) - 100% = 90.9%
Bomb out in a $5.50 tourney, your ROI is:
-5.5/5.5 = -100%
Generally, because donks tend to have smaller bankrolls, your ROI goes down as you go into higher limits. Phil Gordon doesn't play $2 + 25c SnGs. Joe Schmo doesn't play $5500+$200 SnGs.
This ignores one thing - the fee. Generally, for the same type of tourney, fees decrease as you go up in stakes, as a percentage of the total amount you pay. So, fees decrease, but difficulty of opposition increases, as you go up in stakes. Which is more dominant? The difficulty of opposition, by far.
The one exception to this is the 1 + 25c tables. So much of the money goes directly into FTP's pockets in those games that they're almost NEVER worth playing. Bump up to 2 + 25c.
Additionally, turbo SnGs generally are slightly cheaper PERCENTAGE WISE than their non-turbo cousins. Check this out:
5 + 50c non-turbo vs 6 + 50c turbo
If you've got $30 plus some pocket change, you can either play 6 non-turbos, or 5 turbos. The difference is doing non-turbos, FTP gets $3, while playing turbos, FTP gets only $2.50
Turbos are higher variance, but you can play more of them in a given period of time, which helps cut down on variance. (Variance is just a fancy word for how much short term luck has to do with a particular result.)
And there's your crash course on ROI. Of note, ROI has no meaning in two situations:
Freerolls: ROI is infinite by definition
Cash games: Monetary success is measured in either BB/hr, or BB/100 hands. PT3/HEM will do those calcs for you. |

i would like to see a lesson on continuation betting. such an important part of today's game really needs a lesson of it's own. so many people don't know when they should be c-betting, and when they should be checking flops back.
this would kind of go hand-in-hand with ryan daut's "value betting" video, as together they kind of cover 'post-flop play' |
