It would be great, if we could all adhere to some rules in this forum:

This forum is a mess currently and it would be so much nicer and easier if we all would keep a few very basic things in mind, to have our posts more structured and therefore easier to read and answer for those offering advise:

a) CONTENT:
Please make sure your post really belongs here.
The purpose of this section is to discuss MTT poker. This means it is the place to ask general MTT strategy questions and specific questions on hands you played where you want feedback on.

Questions regarding BRM or schedules of tourneys do not belong here. Please post these in General Discussion.

Bad beats do not belong here:
Again, here we want to get and provide feedback on the way we played certain hands in certain situations. If you feel the need to show us that you got sucked out on in the hand in question or later hand in that tourney, please post this in Stories. It has zero strategy relevance.

Please don't post results.
Results are completely irrelevant for feedback regarding who a hand was/should have been played. Posting results only has a negative impact, as it might influence the persons who are giving advise on a hand.

b) THREAD TITLES:
Please try to put some thought into your thread title.
Make sure the thread title doesn't give any hints regarding the result of your hand.
It is always very helpful to include some information regarding the content of your question:

examples for a bad thread title:
'donkamentz'
'i got sucked out on'
'how did i play this'
'what the heck should i do here'

examples for a good thread title:
'$55: AKo in early stage in BB facing 3bet'
'daily dollar: TT in late stage facing shove'
'$2 180 man: short stacked at FT. Range for open shoving?'
'$10 Razz: linecheck'

c) HAND INFORMATION:
please make sure you include all necessary information about your hand in the OP. This includes all kind of reads that you have and, if available, also relevant stats (e.g. VP$IP, PFR, 3bet% etc.).

For instance: if your question is what you should do in a certain spot when facing a 3bet, it is helpful for the readers to know if villian did 3bet light so far, what he showed when he 3bet earlier, etc.

d) HAND HISTORY:
If your question is related to a hand you played in an online tourney, please include the hand history.

Please also use a hand converter, preferrably one that also shows the M (e.g. http://www.handconverter.com/ )
Converted hands are not only easier to read (once you get used to it) but they are also way more convenient for the readers as they already include some calculations, which readers would have to do manually with an unconverted hand (pot sizes and M).
So if you want to get feedback, please be polite and use a converter.

Make sure you post the hand only to that point, where your question occurs. Do not show results.

e) PROVIDING ADVISE:
Please be polite and don't unclude disencouraging messages like 'OP, you are really bad',...etc.
Obviously you will see some hands that were played badly, but OP posted it to get advise and become better. So please cut your response down to helpful advise.

Also please don't 'level' in this section. Again, this is a place to learn and giving wrong advise (which might be obvious to most, but not all) is a No-No.

Please also try to include a reasoning for the line you are taking.
so instead of just saying: 'snapcall fistpump', elaborate on it: 'snapcall, because .....(e.g. we are ahead of his shoving range here, as he should be opening pretty wide, given how short he is)

Last but not least: Abbreviations .
in case you are not familiar to some of the Abbreviations used in strategy posts, this thread in NL/PL will provide you with an overview:

[edit by Riddim: Changed the title and moved the other posts to a separate thread.]
