| JMJGP, I like your suggestions. I, for one, would like nothing more than some non holdem challenges. We're going to have to be patient though. The Academy only has the capability to track NLHE games at the moment. They can track where you finish in any tourney, but as for specific hand tasks, they're only able to track NLHE. |
The matrix one that I suggested wouldn't require hands to be tracked and would allow (actually make) participants to play non nlhe games. Even though the tasks are fairly straightforward, the Stud and O8 ones would require some tracking. |

Get a pro to spot you a buck! Or get some heavy duty AP for knocking out a pro.
Even MORE points if you can get them to enable their chat feature. AP points for even getting at a table with one. |

| I would love to see some 6 max cash game challenges. Most every challenge has the stipulation of the hand having 6 or more players dealt in. At a 6 max table there are a lot hands that don't have the necessary 6 players dealt in thus making it very difficult to complete the challenges. At the very least you could change these to require at least 3 or maybe 4 players dealt into the hand. |

I noticed most of the challenges are based on NL holdem. While it is one of my favorite games, I am also a limit player. Perhaps we could see some similar challenges in limit holdem, such as preflop strategy, or play on various streets.
Thanks

Fixed limit Hold'em FullRing challenge suggestion:
-CAP Preflop with QQ+, AK from any position (3x)
-Steal the blinds with an open raise from CO, BTN or SB (4x)
-Steal the pot with a cbet on the flop with no pair against 1 or 2 opponents (4x)
-Raise against a cbet with a Flush Draw or/and a OESD, with no pair (1x)
-Check-raise on the turn or river when completing a flush/straight against the aggressor on the flop/turn (1x)
Pro Play:
-Play a 200 hands session and leave with a profit of at least 6BB |

Hello,
I would love to see a challenge relating towards Turbo single table SnG
maby with some focus on handling the bubble when so much gamble is involved.
Suriving a tight table with blinds have made the avg player have 3-4 BB or even less and there is still 7-8 players on board etc
the finer details of winning these tables |

Aaron Bartley's SnG By the Numbers and Lederer's...uh....SnG challenge that I can't remember do a pretty good job at handling bubble decisions, as I recall. They're designed for both regular and turbo, and in normal cases they work pretty well in my opinion.
For those rare cases where you get 7 or 8 people with 6-7 BB in a turbo, it really turns into a superturbo. Basically, it's all-in or fold. You just have to figure out what hand range works best from each seat. Despite being in the BB the next hand, you have to be ULTRA tight UTG, because there are 6 or 7 more people who can bust you. Conversely, if it's folded to you in the SB, you can probably raise well over 50% of your hands. You've got hand equity for the normal premiums that you may be lucky enough to get, fold equity because BB's not gonna call you with crap, and suckout equity because even if the BB calls with AJ, your Q9 can still win a good part of the time.
Superturbos are very mathy - if you don't have a good feel for the ranges, you're kind of sunk. No bluffing, and no depending on players' past tendencies...it's 99.9% a "level 1" game where you ask "Do I think I have a good hand?". It's not a level 2 game where you ask "Does he think he has a good hand", and it's certainly not level 3, where it's "Does he think I think I have a good hand". |

Paul Wasicka addresses the short buy-in strategy and impact on game strategy and results
SHORT BUY IN PLAY RING GAMES:
1: Fold xx, yy, zz, etc. from the BB k times when your stack is 10x +2 players
2: Fold xx, yy, zz, etc. from the SB k times when your stack is 10x +2 players
3: Raise 5x the BB x times in late position with xx, yy, zz, etc when a short buy-in calls from early position
4: Reraise on late position with xx, yy, zz, etc. when a short buy=in calls all=in
5: Eliminate x times the short buy-ins entire stack |

please make challenges that cover non-holdem poker. you have great tutorial videos on mixed games, omaha and omaha H/L; please make some challenges about it too.
also some challenges regarding the 8-seater (limit) SNGs would be awesome to see. |
I completely agree w/ Umarplus. Please keep poker strong and vibrant...grow the community. Don't just support the vanilla NL flavor of the media train.
If you want to help people be good poker players and learn about poker...challenge them with more than just NL. |

I suggest for BM two things.
1. For the first three tasks, everyone not need to fold to you preflop.
2. Not have to repeat the pro play 5 times! |

I'd love to see a few extra MTT achievements:
Aggressive bubble play:
Bet x% of your total stack while in the bubble
Knock outs:
Knock out more than _ players in a single MTT
Call an all-in preflop against an opponent's pocket aces and win
Bad Bluff:
Call an opponent who has gone with nothing and win with a pair or better. |

These are obviously biased suggestions, as they should be.
1) Satellites - playing different kinds including rebuys, sngs... yes they do FTOPS challenges, but there are Sats running on FT 24/7/365 whether there's an FTOPS going on or not.
2) HU- SNGs. I could see also making HU cash games part of a challenge, but I don't think many beginners would want to play those.
3) Matrix - this was a fabulous idea from earlier that I would second.
4) Rebuy tournaments - Michael Gracz has a great lesson on this I would like to see moved into a challenge.
5) Mixed games - yes, they could only do it in Tournaments for now... but that's fine for me. I enjoy the sessions on the different games FTP offers... but I want Lessons and Challenges, especially now that FTP has a 7-game mix.
6) Blind play - I think everyone could benefit from more instruction on that.
7) Limit Hold-em - If you can't do any games other than hold'em, at least give us a limit hold'em lesson and challenge... or even a mixed hold'em lesson/session/challenge. |

I have tried many times to get the game selection challenge to accept. But everytime I accept it, I get the Ferguson pre-flop challenge in my challenges.
Any more SnG challenges in the works? |
