I am trying to hget the pro play for betting basics.
Is it a single inside straight draw, or is it double?
EDIT: OMG! Whatever it was I got credit for it! |

wildqat's right - it's a double gutshot.
Mathematically, double gutshots and open ended straight draws are the same - both can be completed by cards of 2 ranks. The difference is that open-enders are very easy for the owner to see (who can't see 4 cards in a row?) Double gutters are a little m8ore of a challenge.
Thus, both double gutshots and open-enders have 8 outs (2 * 4 suits). In your case, as wildqat pointed out, a Q or an 8 can complete your straight...either K-Q-JT9 or JT9-8-7. If you have a board of A78 and hole cards of 9T, then you have an open ended straight draw....a 6 or a J make the straight.
Inside straight draws can be completed by one rank and one rank alone. Thus, they've got 4 outs (1 rank * 4 suits), and aren't as good. Hole cards of A8 and a board of 569 would be an inside straight draw...any of the 4 7's in the deck make you a straight.
And if you think this is complex...wait till you play omaha, where you get wrap-around straights and straights with 12 or 16 outs. It'll blow your mind. |

Yes I see that now.
It has taken me a month to complete that task! Especially at the micro level where everyone bets anything! So I finished that challange and am repeating it. In one tourney I completed all tasks, the pro play awaits me again! Hope it doesn't take me another month!
TY for your commwents. |
