Hey all,
A quick question... I have been playing at the .25/.50 level for some time clocking lots of hours. I have cashed in some tournaments but the level of play concerns me.
I just recently logged 23 hands of interests. I put my money in on 2 occassions with the worst hand, but on 21 occasions i lost with the best hand being called by crazy hands when there wasnt even the pot odds to call
i.e ... i had AJ i raised 3 times the big blind and had 1 caller, flop is J94, i raise again and get re raised.. at this point im hoping not to be up against the horrible set on full tilt. I call to see the turn which is a A now im deciding to check or raise. i know i have the best hand(but for a set)... i raise, the donk re raises me all in.....
I call and he shows pocket 22. 1) I made sure he never had pot odds with my raises and 2) there are 4 over cards...
yep he hits the 2 on the river lol
i have now gone in at 80% fav on so many hands correct odds and people call and call and then hit.
I havent lost money just lots of bad beats and crazy calls to the river with zero then amazing hits...
I have the bankroll is the play better at the higher limits, where you can be creative but still understand percentages and pot odds and not keep getting crazy calls like AA v K9 pre flop |

| The level of play doesn't get much better for a while. That will still happen at .50/1, 1/2 and, 2/4. So if you're talking about moving up to get away from bad play it's not going to work. Try the games so you can see for yourself. You're supposed to move up because you're crushing the level you're at and can make more money playing higher stakes. |

| If you say you want to move up to avoid bad players, you aren't really good yourself. |

This isn't a limit hold em question.
If you have shown consistent profit over 10,000 hands, try moving up |

| If you have the bankroll to do it, I don't see why you shouldn't try, the level of play isn't that much higher moving 1 up. |
