I just happened to notice that I am signed up for the Main Event Freeroll. I hadn't realized that I had qualified when I took 1st in that Freeroll earlier. (I thought you had to get top 10 in fantasy scoring for some event to win your way in.) A freeroll with 586 players and only 1 prize should be a hoot. Fortunately I will be playing the 750K event starting at roughly the same time and that should help me stay focused and patient.
Anyone else gonna be in that Freeroll? |

Bummer... finished in 47th. I got a little impatient (was at work and couldn't dedicate my full attention) and shoved with AJ sooted over the top of the guy to my right who had been raising a lot pre-flop... I thought I had a lot of fold equity because I had been playing very tight... he insta-called and turned over AK sooted. Game over.
It was a boatload of fun this season and looking forward to doing it all over again in 2010. |

Well, just finished playing the Fantasy Poker League Freeroll earlier today (the one where the winner gets a seat in the 2010 Main Event), and it turns out the guy who knocked me out in 86th went on to win the whole thing.
...with MY DAMN CHIPS DAMMIT.
.......though it was actually a blessing in disguise, seeing as I had to go to a wedding 45 minutes after I ended up being knocked out, and if I would have ran much deeper I would have had a very, very awkward phone call to make... |
