I am a tight player and I know this, but those stats above are crazy to me especially with how long I lasted. In this hand we were only six minutes into the tournament with no reads...

Full Tilt Poker, NL Hold'em Tournament, 10/20 Blinds, 8 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

MP1: 3,090
Hero (MP2): 1,390
CO: 1,500
BTN: 1,470
SB: 390
BB: 1,500
UTG: 1,630
UTG+1: 1,260

Pre-Flop: (30) Td Tc dealt to Hero (MP2)
UTG calls 20, 2 folds, Hero raises to 80, CO calls 80, BTN calls 80, SB raises to 390 and is All-In, BB raises to 1,500 and is All-In, UTG fold, Hero ???

How many of you call here hoping for a race and getting lucky at the beginning, so you have more chips to work with from the start? That is one of my biggest problems is I never get a nice big stack from the start, I'm always sitting near or below the chip average throughout the entire tournament.

Answer below
I folded

Flop: (1,040) 5d Qc 9c (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Turn: (1,040) 2c (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

River: (1,040) Jd (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 1,040 Pot
SB showed 3d 3h (a pair of Threes) and LOST (-390 NET)
BB showed Kc Ac (a flush, Ace high) and WON 1,040 (+650 NET)

Thanks for the constructive input,

you can't try to win a tournament in one hand so theres no rush to get a big stack to work with especially this early on. Tens aren't a great hand at this stage, just pick a better spot later on. good fold.

Bet the flop! You are OOP in a three way pot and need to find out whether your Aces are good here - the blinds are small and you can still get away from this if re-raised.

Villain getting 4 to 1 on open ended SD - with implied odds its an easy call.

Villain playes this fine IMHO - your mistake was not betting the flop with top pair good kicker

I agree, I didn't say he made a bad play and I didn't say I made a good one. I like how the turn gives him an oesd and the river happens to give me a nice two pair, but wait it made a straight for him. As soon as I hit bet the river, before I seen his cards, I was like funk he has 99. Like I said though I totally agree I played it bad.

Thanks,
