I'm a newbie. BRM was my first snl, and I did terribly on it. I did it a second time a d did much better though. I felt like there were some things in there that weren't defined though. One question asked which game you should play, but in one if the options it was a .25 big blind and you had to assume 100 big blinds. I don't remember the lesson saying anything about always assuming 100 big blinds? Is this sort of common knowledge?

I did the power of position second and almost got a perfect score. I was just a tad late on one question and got like 950 instead of 1000. I find the clock starts moving too soon. If you are listening to the voice reading the questions, points start bleeding well before all answer options are read. Even ignoring the voice, I find on many questions there is t time to read through each answer completely. And, if each answer requires some math, forget about it. Makes me wonder how many of the numerous 7,000 scores are legit?[/list]

Don't listen to the voice - read the question as quickly as possible.

You can retake the test next month - that should give you a hint as to how people get a 7,000 score. Your first try each month counts.

Two months ago, standards were pretty low - I missed 2 out of 7 questions on some quizzes, and easily qualified. Don't know if that's changed.

And don't worry about bombing out....if you manage to make the top 1,000 in only 3 or 4 out of the 15 or so quizzes available, you'll be fine. Only about 200 people play in the given Saturday tourney, so you've got a 50-50 shot in each tourney. And you only need to win ONE out of the fifteen Saturday tourneys to make it to the 5K Sunday tourney...any extra tourneys have only a small amount of EV (that of knocking the person who would have been 100 to 101st, possibly narrowing Sunday's field if that person fails to qualify in another tournament.

Thanks, that makes more sense now.
