|
I had:
A, 2, 4, 6, 7
Winning Opponent had:
2, 3, 4, 5, 7
Why did my hand lose?
Was an important tourny to me, losing it probably cost me.
Please let me know if I am wrong, and why his hand wins over mine.. |

In razz, it can be a good idea to reverse the order. IE:
You had: 7, 6, 4, 2, A
He had: 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 |

I still don't get it..
The overall number count for me is 20
He has 21...
I still have the lower run, even if I reverse it, I have an Ace, lowest card. |

overall number????
the lowest hand counts. you don't add the numbers.
in order to understand the lowest hand, start with your highest card.
you have a 7, your opponent also. so here no point to each
then you have a 6 and your opponent has a 5. his hand is lower |

Oh ok, thanks.
So if I have
9, 8, 3, 2, A
And he has:
9, 6, 5, 4, 3
He wins because after 9, he has a 6 vs my 8? ; and the hand is over? |

Another way to think of these hands is as a whole number.
75,432 is less than 76,421
96,543 is less than 98,321 |

OK.... apparently the rules change in RAZZ when the best hand that either player can make is a pair.....
Here is the final board....
Opponent: 4,7,4,7,A,A,K
My Hand: 5,2,9,A,9,2,5
I would have liked to have this hand to be judged as follows:
Opponent: K,7,4,A
My Hand : 9,5,2,A
However, Full Tilt awarded the pot to my Opponent as follows:
Seat 1: HERO showed [5h 2s 9c Ad 9s 2d 5c] and lost with a pair of Twos
Seat 2: VILLAIN showed [4h 7s 4d 7c Ac As Kc] and won (990) with a pair of Aces
AA,44,77
vs.
22,55,99
Has anyone ever seen this before???? |

| An Ace is low in Razz, so AA is the smallest pair possible. |

You also need 5 cards to win the pot, not 4 |

No.
If you put the big numbers to the right, you'll have it wrong, and you'll make the same mistake the OP did.
Put the largest number to the left and look at it like a whole number like my 1st post says. |
