| What are the things that you look for when selecting tables? Is there any certain person we want to have on our left and our right? Is it as important to table select in Limit HE, as it is in NLHE? |

| It's hard to pick and choose your seat online. Usually you have to snag the empty seat before someone else does. When I choose I just look for a high average pot table with one empty seat. |

| ... do you have data on your opponents?!? If someone likes to play a lot of hands, I'd surely hate to have them one to my left, what's more fun than that person having position on you time and again? |

| A table with a high VP$IP is always good. This almost ensures that there are fish on this table. I also don`t mind having a player with an iron man chip 2 on my left. That is because I can steal his BB a lot from the button. In the limits I play, iron man chips are usually tagfish, so they are not a big threat. |

| when I look for a game I look at the highest %players per flop cause I believe looser games are better for my style. |

+1
Best part about tables like these is that I can play my normal tight game, wait for good hands and proper position, and then make a solid profit on top of all the blinds I lost while I was waiting.
However, at the micro levels, it's not hard to find a loose game with a large average pot size either. |

| Caro says if u dont know any thing about the players that ur siting down with and u have a choice of seats SIT BEHIND THE MONEY. A player with a lot of money is likley one of 2 things a loose player so u want to have position on them so u can get extra money from them, or a good player so u want to have the advantage of posioton on this player to help with ur dicision making aginst the tough opponent. |

If you are aggressive (i.e. not a super-tight nit) you want predictable players to your left so you can raise them out preflop AND take a lot of flops from them by being the first to bet out, and loose (but not tricky) players to your right. If the loose players are also tricky (i.e. check-raise a lot, donk-bet the river a lot) you might want to have them on your left so you can get your bets raised and chase out everyone else except Mr. Bluffy (who hopefully will be trapped by YOU instead of the opposite).
If you are passive (i.e. tight, but still not putting too much money in the pot unless you are mostly sure you are ahead) you might want to have more of the loose-passive players on your left so you can limp in preflop with a lot more speculative hands (this is presuming you are much better than "average" at post-flop play esp. hand-reading) and it won't really matter where the aggressive/unpredictable players are, since if they are on your left you will be checking to them with draws AND strong (but not monster) hands and they will do the betting for you, but if they are on your right you will likely be calling their bets rather than getting into capped betting rounds all the time.
My 2 cents. |
