If you're not sure if you can play in a tournament, just dont register for it. Most tournaments have late registration, so i wouldnt risk it in the future.

I think a mobile client would be great, it would give Full Tilt a greater edge in the online poker market. But they should not do this just for iPhone. Think a little wider: Symbian, Windows Mobile etc...

Considering that the iPhone runs the same software as the iPod touch, I think it's pretty clear that an iPhone version is the best choice for a full-featured client.

I second the motion! How hard could it be? The folks with flash client sites are going to grab this market niche if you don't.

I did a major merge of mobile threads just as a friendly reminder of how your market is clamoring for a mobile client and has been for quite a while. Generally, when your customers are telling you exactly what you'd need to do to keep them happy, it's worth considering.

This might be the type of thing to strongly consider while you're rolling out a client on a new development platform. QT (the new library they're porting the game client over to) is a cross-platform library designed for Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile environments.

I started playing poker on my cell phone with the wpt app and enjoyed it. I think if Full Tilt were to release a client even it were for the play money side and did the same type of deal where you could play with your phone or computer, they would open a totally new revenue stream.

I think the reason WPT failed so miserably is they gave it up to handson to run and of course when handson started running things they stopped regular tournament etc. If Full Tilt put as much effort into the Cell Phone side of things I think it would give them the lock on the online market.

The reason why though it wouldn't work for Real Money games is 2 fold. One cell phones drop connections all the time and with real money on the line their support would be overloaded and you can't afford to have several support people online to keep up the solid reputation of the site. The second reason is no US Phone carrier is willing to take on the FCC and Congress on having real money betting on their networks.

I think the play money side of things would be a fantastic revenue stream though if you look at carriers like Verizon and charge the standard $2.99/month or $8.99/unlimited play they gain a ton of money to recoup development and now have a software package on the market .

Anywhoo, sorry for long post. In closing I would definatly pony up the $8.99 to be able to play in tourneys on my phone and so forth. Course I have an HP netbook so I can play anywhere Wink

I am also waiting for a FTP mobile app. My current workaround is to use VNC and remote into my home desktop. This works very well on 3g or wifi connection with my HTC Fuze running WM 6.1. The only time i suffer from any connection lag is when I drop down to an edge connection but is still playable. Looks great on the 640x480 screen the Fuze has.

Is it possible to play fulltilt using the newest blackberries? If yes, how can I do this? If no, are they talking about making this a reality?
Thanks

No, but as you can see, it'd be something many people would like to see. Maybe if we're really lucky, they'll take advantage of the new graphics toolkit and develop a mobile version of the client.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who considered this: an iPhone/iPod Touch application that can run Full Tilt Poker.

I think it'd be possible. The interface might get a little crowded, but possible nonetheless. I might try to make some sketches tonight.

Another option:
Have an app that wirelessly connects to a host computer running Full Tilt. The iPod/iPhone could display the CHECK-BET-RAISE etc buttons, and the slider/number pad to adjust a raise. This would make it much more comfortable for people who use TVs as their monitor, or simply people who would rather hold an ipod than keep a hand on a mouse all the time.

So, your opinions on this? If Full Tilt beat Pokerstars and other sites to producing such an App, it think it could get some attention. There has to be plenty of people playing here who have an iPod Touch or iPhone who would LOVE to see something like this as much as I would.
