I found out the real name of Halfrek! Thanks to the other observers railing him. Brian Elgaard is the name and taking down FTOPS' is his game...and maybe some WSOP this year too. http://www.1623.dk/index.php/forums/member/216/
Add him to the list, even if he isn't gonna show up this summer! |

I don't know if you are the only one, but I like it.
It really shortens the time spent waiting for the next Series to start.
As for if the promo is going to stop this year at the final nine will be interesting. Last year, the promo was forced into that decision because the final nine delay was so late in being announced. |

This is a good point, but does anyone know what happens if a player dies during the break?
BTW Ivan Demidov FTW. |

They don't have to die not to be able to play.
But a good question C.
Maybe someone will come up with the ruling. |

Did the delay really build up interest in the final table?
Why don't they play the Super Bowl in June? |

| At first I didn't like the idea, but it did build up excitement. My poker buddies and I made a night of it. Ordered in dinner, played cards and watched. |

No. Remember, the whole point of moving the Final Table to November was that ESPN wanted to show all of the prelim. events and all of the Main Event before the final table was played. Then, the final table would be aired on ESPN 48-72 hours after it was over. This whole decision was based on TV and getting more people to watch it. |

| In the end I didn't see anything wrong with ESPN pushing it back to November except for one thing. The ONE thing I didn't like is that last years the FT took, what? 10-13 hours? And it was condensed down to 2 hours, thus missing swings of momentum, the change of players emotional state after each pot, Their tendencies, their tells. Next year maybe they could air the FT in its entirety but chop it up in 2 hour episodes. During the commercial breaks they could advertise a DVD set with the whole series. The biggest poker nut would be happy because he or she could finally see the epic scale of the WSOP while not boring the casual poker player just wanting to see how pros and big ballers play. |

There were massive blunders......including Brandi Hawbacker on the players' list....omfg i never saw THIS. she had died several months b4 the main event

sounds more like some higher-up's ideer of a sick joke.
When Jimmy Fricke [Gobboboy] made the list,
i found it quite shocking.
Out of respect for the late Ms. Hawbacker, I will decline to discuss her legendary status in the poker world here, as well as David Sklansky's goats, or even what he keeps in the glove compartment of his car.
Feel free to search 2+2's forum 4 any of this.
[ok. i'll give u a hint. Guyz, u remember the Hitler video, right? the part where he refers to the thread about Brandi and the penis? Yes. THAT Brandi.]
The legends are legendarily humorous, but when u find them [and might I add, MUCH easier to find than freeroll passwords] you will understand fully why i cannot disclose them here.
Happy searching

An immediate family member is allowed to play the deceased players stack is what I was told in the past. |

Following that logic, shouldn't they postpone all the final tables until November? |
