OK - So I just played this hand a few minutes ago, and am 98% positive that I played it just as I should. But after the hand was over my opponent typed "lol", as if to say that I didn't. I usually don't give a crap about what people say, but this was just bizarre. Was he just an idiot, or did I not play the hand correctly? The only thing I can think is that he thought I was too aggressive with my draw. Maybe I'm just being too self conscious.
Anyway, here's the hand history:

I mean, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that you wanted big drawing hands that have the potential to scoop in Stud 8. Did I play this too aggressively? Should I have checked on 5th or 6th street? Should I just call down with my monster draws? Or is he just a moron?
The weirdest part is that he's saying "lol", and playing a hand like [(8d Ts) 9c] which I always thought is exactly the kind of hand you stay away from in Stud 8.

would not raise this hadn this a hand u want to have many in , but since u raised it was good that the opponent was playing the worst kind of hand, but I would limp along and just call it and let him build it up

Its tought, you are in mid late position, so its a close call between call and complete. If you were in early position, it would be a definate limp, if you were in late position, it would probably be a raise. This is one of those in between spots. I'd probably still limp, but I don't think complete is a bad play. 4th, 5th, and 7th are good. 6th you'd have to check the equities. I don't think you have any fold equity here, since he called you on 5th, and the queen looks pretty harmless. If you have greater than 50% equity, I'd bet, if you have less, then I'd check. Depends on the range you put him on, and also exactly how likely you are to hit your hand.

With the only the biring in having a good up card left in the hand i would probaly just call but a complete isnt a bad play. Maby slowing down on 6th but i would probly bet there as well depends on how the player has played before this if he might lay down on 6th or 7th. Dont worry about his coments after seeing his hand he isnt the one to be gettng stud 8 advice from.

well....I'd have to say let him LOL all he wants. playing that kind of hand is not solid hi/lo play. not sure I agree with slowing down on 6th street here tho'. with the cards you had showing on 5th you could already have a complete hand & as you stated you were representing the hand AND you did have a great draw with a ton of outs. I don't believe in giving free cards. as far a completing goes, I think it was the corrct play. maik1234 showed weakness when he brought it in for .30..... sledghammer folds his ace , kidkob's door card is a 9 & karnikl, the only player left to act, has a Q. you have to believe you have the best of it here, fortunately for you the raise gets maik1234 out & you hit your draw! well played
