I hate these too. Realisticaly I probably woulda folded too. But.. the pot size bet suggests he does not have the 7. He would want to draw you in, not scare you off. Maybe a small pair like 5s, he only called the flop so it's nothing major he is holding (unless he is trapping with a high pair(10s Js)). You have a decent stack so maybe a raise, see if he is serious ?
I too would like to see what a better player would say on this, come across this type of hand alot and is always a tricky spot. |

do you have any sort of read on this player?
this fold seems really weak, i think usually i would at least call, but it's definitely a weird spot with such awkward stack sizes.
i'd also consider shoving preflop. |

the way I see it is like this- The chance of him having the 7 should be the exact same as the chance of you drawing the nine. Two hole cards- two cards left to come (if I am wrong someone please correct me). Actually it should be even a lower % on the 7 because more of the cards have been dealt.
I think he's got a nine- maybe even A9 for a split pot, or a lower pp like Ozzy suggested. I would stack off and pray. |

| If you have a read, please tell us. Without a read, I wouldn't call this. |

Like Hu said, I'd consider shoving PF.
Readless OTF, I think people donk a PSB like that with so much that beats you (7x, 99+) or so much you are flipping with (combo draws) that I'd probably fold too. I know it's weak, but there are still plenty of better spots. Yeah, you'll see a weaker 9, and maybe some worse PPs and draws and stuff, but I don't know if you get that enough.
With a read, though, I'd be happy to see another card. |

| I'd raise and get it in (maybe just shove given how short stryn is). He's just so short that I don't really think you have another option given how strong your hand is. He's not that likely to have a 7 and you beat all the other nines as well as lower pairs. Since he only has 1200 behind after potting the flop I really don't see the point in calling. |

Agree with Riddim, you still have chips if you're beat. If he has a 7 and a shortstack, check/raise would make more sense to me. Looks like he's trying to pick it up here, looks like he has T9 or something. Shove it in. Unless he has nothing, he should call and pay you off. If he has a 7, you're 90% to lose, oh well, you still have 1120 remaining.
Basically I can't put him on any pocket pair above 7's since he didn't raise preflop, if he has anything except a 7, you're way ahead. |

| Put him all in. It's not even a close call, IMO. Most players that short stacked would let someone else lead, then check call or check raise. |
