Multi-table ring games and play tight ABC poker.

Depends on how much your bonus is.

You have 4 months to clear the bonus. It will release in $20. increments.
Be sure to play in your Countrys' first deposit monthly freeroll. It usually has a "value" of approx. $100.

If you went for the $600. max matching bonus here is the best strategy:

As suggested earlier multi-table cash games. Try to play 100 points per day and 25 days per month. This will get you into gold ironman status each montg and you will earn medals and can play the $20,000. monthly freeroll or have additional medals (the field for the freeroll is under 500 so the "buy-in value" is over $40, so play the freeroll)

It will take you 4 months to clear the whole amount.
You will have about 300 medals that are worth about 20cents each= $60.
You will have 10,000 points worth 1/2 cent each= $50.
You will have played in 4 gold ironman freerolls worth $40. each =$160.
You will have played in your countrys' freeroll = approx. $100.
You will have cleared your $600. first deposit bonus = $600.

Total "freebies" = approx. $1000.

You will probably also get a year end bonus to clear in January '09 of approx $300. - You only have January to clear this and will only clear 1/2 at the above rates.

If you depositted less, then scale back and go for bronze or silver over the four month clearing time allowed.

Good luck.

I play on a modest bank roll, i multitable NL $.50/1 these tables have a max buy in of $100. I try to buy in for $50 each.

I usually play 8-12 tables. I find that at these tables I clear about 200 FTP every 450-500 hands. Give or take a few dozen. When I play 10-12 tables I can earn 200FTP in under an hour.

At this rate, you'll clear about $12 each day you earn 200FTP. (you get 6 cents for each FTP earned)

It would take you 50 days to clear a whole $600 bonus.

If you spread your play out, you can also get iron man levels which are more bonuses.

The best thing to remember is , dont ever play above your bankroll, or play more than you would normally just to chase a bonus, you'll usually play bad poker and lose more than the bonus is worth.

If you play lower stakes the ratio to blinds and hands played stay the same.

Meaning if you play in a a game with half the stakes as what I play, you would play double the hands to get to 200FTP

Here's a good look at some average numbers in my experience:

TABLE STAKES, and NUMBER OF HANDS TO REACH 200FTP

NL MAX $200 (blinds $1/2) 250 hands

NL MAX $100 (blinds $.50/1) 500 hands

NL MAX $50 (blinds $.25/.50) 1000 hands

NL MAX $25 (blinds $.10/.25) 2000 hands

One, other note I would like to make, you earn your FTP's based on being dealt into a hand, it doesnt matter if you fold preflop if rake is taken you'll ge tthe FTP points.

This does mean that the quickest way to earn points is to play a tight shortstack min buyin game.

When I play 8-12 tables I buy in for $50 at each, I've got about $500-600 out on the tables.

If I played a shortstack strategy and bought in for the min on all the tables, I would be putting out about $200-$240 yet I would earn the same FTP points.

Not that I advocate this, but it is worth knowing
