Should I have just lead out on the flop? How about the rest of the hand?

| Yeah I probably bet flop and fold river as played. It's just too hard for him to have a worse hand that he'd bet there I think and the pot also isn't all that big since you checked the flop. |

You seem to have got this one a bit wrong, you should always lead the flop there, as your UTG raise usually represents an A, and your UTG+1 caller usually means he has a smaller PP, so by checking you're basically advertising your hand as QQ, KK or maybe a slowplayed AA, but its unlikely.
If you're called by UTG+1 when you lead then you may still be in front, so I often go into c/c mode for the turn and river, possibly bet/folding the river against some opponents as it gets value from Jx. If you get called by the BB, then I like the same approach, but usually check the turn behind him if he's a nit as he'll usually have a weak ace if he is. This c/c'ing may be a bit of a leak, I'm still not sure as I seem to get called down by middle pair pretty often. |
