| You would have been drawing at a 3 outer in a small pot. Never a good idea. |

A general rule of thumb for beginners for limit games: If you're unsure of a decision, tend to fold if the pot is small or medium, and tend to call if the pot is quite big.
Don't take that to mean you should just call down with anything anytime the pot gets big, it just means which play should be your default if you don't really know what to do. |

You cannot just pay attention to your cards, you have to watch what the others have IN RELATIONSHIP to your cards.
I would have folded on 4th when the guy hit the pair of kings and you hit a four. You know you are behind, you dont have any over cards, he paired his door card, and you either need to hit a 7-8, 8-Q, or Q-K to hit your straight. Out of those 4 cards, You already know two kings, a queen, and an 8 are out. When you hit the 7, you are pretty much only drawing to an 8. As Strasse said, you are drawing to a 3 outter in a small pot (440 chips) with 2 cards to come. That puts your percentages at around 6% (sorry if that is wrong, im used to holdem).
If you dont mind throwing chips into a pot where you will only win 1 out of every 20 times you fish for it, go for it. Otherwise, keep an eye on the cards in play =) |

He couldn't fold on 4th, there was no bet. Also, your percentage is a little low, since you can see so many cards, its 3 out of a deck of less. |

1. You see that you're beat
2. All you've got invested is your limp.
3. What are you chasing again? |
