I was wondering, when I am calculating the odds to call a bet on the flop do I calculate odds to catch my out all the way untill the river? even if am sure he will bet again on the turn if still did not catch my out? or should I consider his possible bet on the turn?
sorry it sounds complicated:) thats the best i could lay it down. please give me any thoughts. |

| Only consider the odds on both the turn and river when you believe you'll see both cards without facing another bet (e.g. calling an all-in.) If you believe you will have to face a bet on the turn, then you should go by the odds that you will hit the card you need on the turn to help make your decision. |

| I think this is a common mistake a lot of people make. Example chasing a flush draw on the flop. Most people know they are 2-1 to hit by the end and will call a pot sized bet on the flop. What they don't realize is if they don't hit on the turn and they face another pot sized bet, they are not getting the proper odds to chase. Unless you are all-in or believe that by calling on the flop that you will see a free river then you need to figure your odds for each card to come. |
