|
|
The game is Omaha Hi/Lo, Cards speak 8 lo qualifier.
The flop is K J 8, the turn is 7, river is 3.
My opponent has 4,2 in the hand, I have A,5.
My opponents hand 8 7 4 3 2
My hand 8 7 5 3 A
My friends say I lose because they have a 4 and I have 5 counting from 8 down. I thhink I win because we both are using the 8 but I go all the ay to the Ace where they are only going to the 2. Keep in mind we are playing A-5 being the best lo hand.
thanks. |

| 87432 < 8753A. Your friends are right. You count down from the top until you break the tie. The first person with a lower card wins. In this case the 8's and 7's tie. His 4 is lower then your 5 so you lose. |

| Thank you Big Slick x13x... So if I had A 4 then I would have won because the tie goes down to the Ace. So in lo-ball its sometimes does not matter if you have the Ace for the lowest hand if your playing the board. |

| It is a mistake that you see sometimes when people think that they have a board lock for the low when their low hand gets beat. Good question |

Don't think of it in terms of what the low card is. Convert the low 5 cards to real sequential numbers starting from the highest to the lowest number. The lowest total number wins.
87,432 is less than 87,531
87,431 is less than 87,432
Playing RAZZ has really helped my low-hand valuation skills. |
