I probably should've folded the river, but I put so much in on the turn...

I capped the betting on the turn, and there are 3 high diamonds on board, which makes a Royal Flush or a K High str8 flush possible. Did I play the turn correctly? More importantly, is there any way to play it differently?

Fold preflop. You're out of position the rest of the hand, you can't make the nut straight or flush, and you don't have any chance of the low.

Too much has to go right for you to scoop, and you don't have anything invested. You're getting shortstacked, but not so much so that you have to push the action there.

That's not a good starting hand from any position, certainly not UTG. I would have folded preflop without even thinking about it.

What are you hoping to flop with that hand? A flush draw can really get you in trouble unless you see both the A and K on the board. But even if that happens, as was the case here, you might be looking at someone with a big set because people love to play AA, KK and QQ. And if the board pairs up, as was the case here, you're in even bigger trouble.

Really the best you can hope for is to flop a set and hope it holds up. Something like K92 would be pretty good. If there's a low draw on board you're only going for half the pot, and if high cards are on board you could be in bad shape.

You weren't that short stacked. Fold it and move on.

Reading this, I had to wonder... Are you really worried about a straight flush??? You had the nuts on the turn. Think about it...

That's probably why he capped the turn, and made a crying call on the river when the board paired.

I have to agree with Pil Sung that hand should have hit the muck preflop...

Check call on the river was the right play. Once you put all that money in the pot, don't ever ever ever fold to one bet unless you have nothing at all. My suggestions for this hand. Fold before the flop. Mid pair, only single suited, and only one way to make a straight is not a very good holding in omaha. I would have slowed down on the flop and either check called or bet called, but not reraised. You really only have one good draw and that's a diamond. After the turn and river you played just fine.

Come on, this hand has to be a joke right. You guys are just f'n around. There is no way in hell anyone plays that hand. I would fold that hand in the BB if it were checked to me. Please tell me this is just a joke.

Well, I guess it's probably not. Because the guy that took 2nd this Sunday and donked me out of about 15k chips late was playing that crap the whole way and even raised a guy heads up in the Razz round with a porch of JJJ. AND HE TOOK 2nd!!!

So... as Tuff_Fish would say... "God Bless America!"
